Burger King Hershey’s Sundae Pie Promo
Are you a big fan of burgers? I’m a big fan of big, fat, juicy burgers, so I can always be found guilty raiding plenty of fast food restaurants that’s specialized in burgers, especially Burger King.
Could never resist a good, wholesome meal in Burger King. My all time favourite is of course, their French Chicken burger and their exquisite onion rings. And of course, a meal in Burger King is never complete without a dessert or two.
Being quite a cheapskate, I followed their FB fanpage so that I get updates on their latest menu and promo. A couple of days ago, I noticed that they posted up this particular picture on their Fanpage.
Being a Scrooge I am, I keep a lookout on their latest offer.
When they finally revealed their surprise, this is what I saw!
I was not disappointed when they came out with this Burger King Hershey’s Sundae Pie for only Rm3.
Yes, you’re reading that right! Exquisite one part crunchy chocolate crust and one part chocolate crème filling garnished with a delicious topping and real Hershey’s Chocolate Chips for just Rm3 at Burger King! That’s quite a steal, I must say, and if you have a sweet tooth, you should not miss this deal! The offer is for limited time only and you can get these sinfullicious chocolate pie at Rm3 in Burger King from 14th to 16th May 2013.
To enjoy this exclusive offer, you got to go to Burger King’s Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/bkmalaysia and LIKE the page. Print out the voucher and show the voucher at the counter when purchasing the Hershey’s Pie to enjoy the RM3 offer.
This promotion is valid only in Peninsular Malaysia except BK Genting/BK Sabah, while stock last.
Cleffairy: Gonna run to my nearest BK and get some dessert fix.

Misleading Mother’s Day Promo
How did you spend your Mother’s Day? I bet you ladies had a blast shaking your legs around while your men and your kids pamper you throughout the day. Well, good for you. Mine was nothing special. Never was and probably never will be. My kid practically lives in his own world while his father…well…his father is not my son, so not obligated to celebrate with me.
Anyway, as I said nothing special went on last Sunday, except the Domesticated Goddess in me was practically screaming and when I saw this self-service laundry shop offering free laundry, I thought I’ll just lug all my dirty clothes of over there and have them washed.

Went there with a friend and her boyfriend. We were actually quite excited about the offer and looking forward to wash all of our soiled clothes. My friend actually brought all her dirty comforters to wash too.
But when we’re ready to unload all of our dirty laundry into the washing machine, I noticed that we still need to insert coins into the slot despite of their ‘Wash Free on Mother’s Day offer’. I was flabbergasted cuz it’s supposed to be FREE. Asked the person in charge over there and he jolly well told me that the free wash is just until 2pm, and since my friend and I went there at 6pm, there will be no free wash for us.
When asked why we have to pay for it when the banner that was hung outside says there is free wash on mother’s day, the person in charged pointed to this copy of an announcement that they stick in a small corner of the shop. I wasn’t very happy about it. In fact, I feel cheated! Who wouldn’t? They placed the goddamn thing in a small corner of the room where people would most probably overlook and most will only look at the colourful banner outside and simply assume that the free offer is for 24hours . Damn it. This is pretty much misleading and I bet this shop made quite a profit that day!
I was really furious cuz I brought alot of dirty laundry with me and so does my friend. We expected a free service but ended up paying a hefty sum instead! I was really unhappy and I thought that if the shop really wanted to offer a free service, they ought to have written the timing and whatnot on the freaking banner! This is clearly cheating the consumers and obviously manipulating people into paying…cuz rationally, who would wanna lug around their dirty laundries? Most would just have it washed the clothes there, even if they have to pay for it…like my friend and I did.
I wasn’t happy. I was furious, in fact, but the sulking did not go long, I suppose…as my friend treated me to dinner afterwards. Tsk. I have to say, it’s pretty easy to make me happy. Just feed me and I’ll be all smiles.
Cleffairy: Don’t complain if your Mother’s Day did not go as you expected. At least you did not end up being bored to tears and calling up your friend to do laundry with you only to have to pay a hefty sum for it.

Experiencing Differences in The Youth’s Spirit Conference
Are you familiar with the Ninetology brand? Well, I’m not sure if you’re familiar with it, but I certainly am. It’s one of the world well-known brand that produces smart-phones. Ninetology Marketing Sdn Bhd is an ASEAN mobile device technology company; strongly driven by people’s pride and importance of being on par with global technology progression and renowned international standards. Ninetology had proven its capabilities when the brand had emerged tremendously and had earned a significant market share in Malaysia’s mobile device industry. Ninetology’s objective is to transform the way of traditional communication into the revolutionary era of smart phones. This prominent transition will assure enhancement of people quality with enhanced intelligence. Ninetology had just recently been launched in Indonesia last September and shall continue its progression to other ASEAN countries.
I’m one of their user in fact. I owned a green Ninetology Pallette. Got it at at Rm99 at a rebate price under the 1Malaysia Youth Program. Original Price was Rm399. Rm200 rebate from the government and Rm100 rebate from manufacturer. Cool, huh? Rm99 for a mid range spec Android smart-phone. But I’m not going to review my Ninetology Pallette today. Instead, I’ll be reporting about what Ninetology has unveiled during the Youth Spirit Conference in Grand Dorsett Hotel, Subang Jaya, Malaysia not long ago.
2013 marked a new milestone in the technology-communication era with the collaboration between Ninetology, Tune Talk and Qualcomm. The signing of the Synergistic Strategic Alliance ceremony between Mr. Sean Ng Chee Heng (Chief Executive Officer, Ninetology Marketing Sdn Bhd), Mr. Jason Lo (Chief Executive Officer, Tune Talk) and Mr. Mantosh Malhorta (Senior Director of Business Development Country Head Philippines, Singapore & Malaysia, Qualcomm Incorporated), was held on 10 April 2013 at the Grand Dorsett Hotel, Subang Jaya, Malaysia.
Tune Talk is the fastest-growing Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) in Asia, officially launching commercial services in Malaysia in 2009.Their target is to provide super low rates and exciting incentives to the market. Their prepaid service offers voice, SMS and data packages that meet the demands for a simple, value-for-money product with easy accessibility and a wide distribution reach. As a member of the Tune Group of companies, they also have the advantage of providing a completely unique lifestyle service with offers by Tune Money, Tune Hotels, Tune Insurance, BIG Loyalty Programme and AirAsia. (Visit www.tunetalk.com for more info if you’re interested about it)
The hall entrance had a Lamborghini Gallardo on display with event model girls, massage chair for pleasure of guests and several personnel providing free massage services, courtesy of Relax Time. While within the hall, there were arrays of posters depicting the event’s theme.
Along with the many speeches by the event organizers was a performance by the winner of Malaysia Tag-team Beatbox Battle 2011, Koujee. Also in presence was also another speaker, Mr. Goh Thih Liang, Business Development Manager, Qualcomm Incorporated.
One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the Ninetology’s Pearl Mini, a bold statement for the young as it boasts on its compact and sleek body frame. Spelling undisputed convenience for energetic lifestyle movements, Pearl Mini is fit for every alpha individual who longs for superb technology on the go.
The awesome Pearl Mini will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon platform and would be packaged with Tune Talk’s prepaid service, which would include RM50 FREE Talktime (comes preloaded with SIM) and RM100 Airtime Rebate (RM10 x 10). The Pearl Mini’s is available now at all Ninetology and Tune Talk retail outlets nationwide at a recommended retail price (RRP) of RM399.
Another prominent tablet on display was the newly launch Ninetology’s Outlook Pure, an evolution of mobile tablet technology which is derived from the very essence of purity in today’s era of communication. Pure defines familiarity with family bonds in experiencing love and care, progressive learning and cherishing priceless moments, that peace of mind in your family’s growth. Recommended retail price (RRP) is at RM599. RM599 for a tablet, now that sounds quite a reasonable price, don’t you think?
I have yet to get a real hands on on these babies, but I’m definitely looking forward to review them if I’m a given a chance to do so.
With my experience with their older model, Ninetology Pallete, I really have high expectation on these newly launch smart-phone and tablet.
Anyway, in colloboration of the event, and as part of its on-going Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Ninetology also presented a GOLD Cheque worth RM50,000 to Yayasan Bakti Khidmat Masyarakat Malaysia (YBKMM), Tzu Chi Foundation Malaysia (RM30,000) and Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-Kanak Cacat Taman Megah (PPKKCTM) (RM10,000).

GE 13: Married To An Abusive Husband
I haven’t been talking about politics for quite some time now, have I? Well, somehow I couldn’t really give a damn anymore cuz no matter what I say will not change a thing about Malaysian politics, but after all being said and done yesterday during the 13th general election in Malaysia, I feel that somehow, the politics in Malaysia is like being married to an abusive husband.
He treats you bad but you still have compassion for him because the relationship between both of you have been so long and you got too much to think about to consider divorce. You’re afraid to let go. You’re afraid to get out of your comfort zone that is no longer a comfort zone.
But when you couldn’t take all the abuse anymore and finally come to your senses and wants to come out from the abusive relationship, you’ll find it difficult because he will promise you that he will change, buys you a lot of wonderful gifts, gives you money, assure you that he will give you love and security. Sweet talk to you and then coax you into submission, expecting you to go along with whatever thing that he wants you to do.
But when you refuses, he will coerce you, threaten you, lock you up and have you beaten badly, even. So…what do you do when you’re trapped in such a relationship? It’s kinda hard to say, but all you ought to know that the abusive relationship cannot go on and on forever. It got to stop somewhere, and that somewhere is not backing down, even if your back is facing the cliff. One ought to have courage to walk away from an abusive relationship, even if it means walking into a future of uncertainty. Better the uncertainties than being continuously used and abused in the worst ways possible.
Cleffairy: Will we ever be out of an abusive relationship? I have no idea.

Firmoo crazy giveaway
Do you wear glasses? Well, I’m not sure if any of you out there is wearing glasses, but I sure am wearing a pair of glasses. Prescription glasses, that it, not those fancy or fashionable ones that you can mix and match with your clothing. I could never live without them as I’m almost as blind as a bat without my glasses. Deep inside, I wish I could wear glasses for the sake of fashion, but tough luck, they costs a bomb. If I were to wear those sunglasses, I’d probably have to get ones with prescription (or get myself a surgery, for that matter), but right at the moment, I don’t exactly have a budget for that.
But lucky me, Firmoo is giving out FREE glasses! Yes, you’re reading that right. FREE glasses. Isn’t that awesome? I certainly think it’s awesome. Now is the time for you to replace those tired, outdated glasses that you may have had for so long and trade them in for glasses that are up-to-date and fashionable!
It’s a given fact that we should have our eyes checked and glasses prescription updated once a year to reduce the risk of our eyesight deteriorating from using old prescription eyeglasses. But you know how my financial is like. It’s kinda tight at the moment, so I really don’t have a budget for such a thing. But thank God for Firmoo.
They are offering FREE glasses (Frames + Lenses + Shipping = $0!) as well as discount coupons, so that any one of you can take an advantage of them! If you’re like me; need a pair of new glasses but don’t exactly have a budget for that, you might want to take advantage of Firmoo free offer!
Anyway, if you are a first time customer at Firmoo, you can also get your first pair for free .All you need to do is just pay a minimum $6.95 shipping fee. Quite a good deal, if you ask me, considering that the frame and the glasses is actually FREE!
Do take advantage of this offer, but for those who missed the free pair giveaway, fret not as they have another limited time offer which will save you 20% off on frames + total shipping fee.
Fabulous, isn’t it? I certainly think it is. Now, what are you waiting for? Hop over to http://www.firmoo.com/z/crazy-giveaway.html now and try your luck, ladies and gentlemen!
Cleffairy: I forgot to mention…the giveaway is international, so yeah, you don’t have to worry about country restriction if you’re to try your luck for a pair of free glasses!

Fisher-Price Play Ambassador Launch
Children grow through play. As they transition quickly from the infant and toddler stages to become pre-schoolers, parents are on a constant lookout for new ways to educate, entertain and play with them.
Fisher-Price®, a trusted name in quality toys and gear, is known to keep these little ones engaged in a fun and stimulating manner through the various stages of growth.
From rockers and gyms to high chairs and even jumperoos, Fisher-Price® has always focused on creating innovative toys and gear that enrich and celebrate childhood.
Fisher-Price® Malaysia recently went on a hunt to find parents who share similar views in raising children by enriching their lives through play. As a result, the company today launched the expansion of their Play Ambassador Programme, with the introduction of local parenting blogger Diyana Yang as well as Vince and Melissa Tan – proud parents of ‘the Happy 3 Bubs’ (triplets) as new ambassadors for Fisher-Price®. Together, under the guidance of initial ambassador Belinda Chee, they will further instil the ‘Joy of Learning’ to parents throughout Malaysia.
Personally speaking, it is a relief to see that there are plenty of parents out there who believed in the power of play. Yours truly believes that children should be allowed to explore and simply be children and as parents we should not be too caught up in the rat race. Children should always enjoy their childhood instead of being told to excel academically. It saddens me each time I see parents gets worked up whenever their children fail to meet their expectation, academically speaking; even in kindergarten. Childhood should be enjoyed, not just cramming for ridiculous kindergarten or school exams.
Cleffairy: It’s not the end of the world, even if your children does not excel academically. It’s important to nurture a well-rounded individual rather than just a study machine.

Teddy Bear Picnic
Truth be told. I’m never quite an indoor person. I’m quite an adventurous person, even as a child and I love outdoor activities. When I was a child, I spent most of my time outdoors and my parents often took me and my sister for picnic and such during the weekend. And I unashamedly joined boys from my class back in school every evening to play football too back then.
But unfortunately for me, after having family of my own, I got stuck at home. I stopped being active. I blame that on technology and the Internet and also the idiot box. They kinda keep you grounded at home in a rather effective manner, I must say.
And not to mention the lack of adult companionship due to everyone’s hectic schedule. Nobody have time for each other anymore and R&R is not exactly something that fits the schedule.
I have nobody to blame on that situation, though, as I have yet to get used to bringing my son around on my own when my husband is at work. But trust me, that’s something I’m working on to amend cuz despite of other people’s opinion, I think it’s really a tragic way of growing up, to be deprived of the beautiful world out there.
But then again I’m happy to say that once in a blue moon, God will take pity on us and we’ll have some good excuse to enjoy the beautiful outdoor with our little family. Quite some time ago, we participated in an event hosted by Expatriate Lifestyle in KLPAC, Sentul. A Teddy Bear picnic; where you’re supposed to bring your favourite Teddies with you for a lovely picnic. The purpose of the event was not only for us to enjoy our time with our respective families, but also to raise funds in the name of arts too.
It’s certainly a happy and relaxing occasion for me. Went there with my family and the weather that afternoon was favourable. It was not hot and rather shady. Perfect for an afternoon picnic with family and friends.
The family friendly and carnival-like atmosphere was something my boy and I enjoyed.
And I bet the Teddies enjoyed the picnic too.
My boy gets to go on this for a while despite of the crazy crowd, and he was pretty ecstatic about it.
Spotted a clown performing his hula hoop dance during the picnic, and his antics made us laugh.
And what’s a carnival without games and pressies to be won? My boy won one of the toy cars on display and he was so happy about it!
I used to eat cotton candies when I was a young kid, and glad to see that it still exists and yet to be banned worldwide for its notorious reputation of giving cavities to adults and young children alike.
My food during the picnic.
Some sandwiches, pastries, cakes, pastas, salad and apples.
Refreshing salad
Comforting chicken lasagna to fill up the tummy after fooling around with those fund-raising games.
Being a special need child, my boy is not particularly good at socializing, but I was really surprised that he requested to participate in the Teddy bear dance and the teddy bear parade. Hmmm… I suppose the positive environment where nobody tells him ‘NO’ affects him in a positive way? To be honest, I think the expatriates are much more open minded, understanding of his disorder than the obnoxious locals.
I wonder if that contributes to my son’s sudden willingness to participate in the fun activities? Well, I have no idea, but I was really glad that he wanted to join in. It’s a refreshing change to see him wanting to join in the crowd, really!
Anyway, here’s ending this happy post with a Teddy Bear dance.
Cleffairy: Work and nonsense gadgets will always be there, but time will always slip through the fingers, and by the time I’ve realized it, he’s all grown up.
We all should stop trying to just exists and starts to really live again.
Do away with work and gadgets, it will do us good!
