Stretching My Ringgits

I know that this ranting comes a tad late, but since Malaysian government has decided that it’s gonna be awesome if they raise the fuel price by 20 cent. The folks in parliament and the smartass economists seems to think that 20cent increase will not be a burden to the citizens, but I beg to differ. The increase has terrible domino effect as when fuel price is increased, the rest of the goods will follow suit and the cost of living will point to the sky, and will never, ever go down again, even if fuel price decrease in the future (which I highly doubt).

I’ve been feeling quite a pinch in my pocket ever since the fuel price increase, and I bet most of you shares the same sentiment. I know, I know, we’re all in the same boat. Everything is getting expensive, and yet our buying power is getting weaker. I used to be able to feed my entire family with just RM100 per week, but not anymore. If I were to shop for groceries, I would have to bring more than just Rm100 to get everything that I need for one week of supplies. So they say, if you can’t afford to buy something, just omit it from your list or get something equivalent with cheaper price to adapt to the economic environment. But…but…but, those fellas in parliament and the smart fellas in banks says it’s not supposed to be a burden…so WHY??? WHY???? Why do I have to lower down my standards of living and go backwards? I’m supposed to go forward. MALAYSIA IS SUPPOSED TO GO FORWARD! NOT BACKWARDS.

*SIGH* Since the recent fuel hike, I noticed that I’ve been paying at least 20% extra for everything. Wow… I suppose this is very healthy for our national treasury reserve, huh? It must be *bling bling bling* with the citizen’s Ringgits by now.

I’m not exactly a happy camper right now. I used to earn less, but spend more and still have extras in the savings at the end of the day. But now…I’m earning more than before and yet I still can’t spend more though and I have almost nothing in the account by the end of the day. I don’t believe in lowering my standard of living to adapt with the current economic environment. To lower down my standard of living is like cutting off meals from a child who is growing up. How can you feed your child less when he/she needs the nutrients to grow up?

So what can we do? We can sit here and complain about our predicament… or…we can find a way out to at least maintain our standard of living with the low Ringgit value. I’m no politician or economist (oh, God forbids!) but I do know a trick or two to combat the awful economic environment and maintain my living standards.

One of it is to make the most out of nothing. Did I get you confused, yet? Well, take this for an example. I’m a smartphone user. And I discovered that there are plenty of apps out there that gives you benefit in terms of voucher redemption. Among them is CellAds.

So what is CellAds? CellAds is a mobile application and mobile content advertising solution, available for Android and Blackberry users.

CellAds is an advertising application developed by Cell Adverts Solution Pvt. Ltd. for smartphones. It will display ads on smart phone screens when you receive calls or SMS and points will be credited into your account after that.

Here is how you can collect points to redeem various kinds of voucher:
First time download = 50 Ads.Point

Each time a pop-up ad appears during an incoming call and SMS = 5 Ads.Point

Friend invite = 200 Ads. Point

Click on any ads in the “Ads World” = 5 Ads. Point every day

The ads are not permanent and you can cancel them off anytime you want.

Here’s a video on how it works.

CellAds in a nutshell: Download, install, use it and redeem goodies and cash vouchers. So far, you can redeem KFC, McD, PizzaHut cash voucher. On a diet and wants something fun? That’s fine, you can redeem GSC Cinema cash voucher instead. Apart from that, you can also redeem mobile topup values.

So yea…if you wanna stretch your Ringgits, this is one of the way you can do it. This is the modern and a much more convenient version of coupon-ing, I must say. You can enjoy the benefit of coupons without having to cut off any coupons. :D

CellAds apps is free to download. For more info, visit their website HERE and LIKE their Facebook Page HERE for updates.

Cleffairy: I usually hate popup ads, but hey…I’d do anything to stretch my Ringgits these days. After all, I’m a big fan of KFC and McD. Who am I to say no to things like this? It doesn’t cost me money, so yea… better redeem vouchers by using accumulated points to treat my kid with fast food rather than use my own money and use the ‘extra’ on something else. :D

Tony’s Timeout

When was the last time you actually treat yourself? It has been awhile for me. Life and work is crazy these days and I barely had time to breathe. I did not exactly celebrate my birthday this year. No gathering with friends, no parties, no birthday cake even. It was a very quiet birthday this year. Everyone is busy with their own things, yours truly included.

I was feeling abit jaded one day, and since it was still my birthday month, I decided to give myself a treat and hop over to Tony Roma in The Gardens Midvalley for some chilllax session.

 photo IMG_3158_zps6e797ef4.jpg

They were having this Tony’s Timeout menu where selected items costs just Rm9.90.

 photo IMG_3160_zpsc26fed54.jpg

I opt for their BBQ chicken, topped up Rm3.90 for a free flow soft drink and was pleased immensely when I see my meal being placed on the table. The portion is absolutely huge and enough for sharing, and since I was there to celebrate my birthday, there was a complimentary dessert for me too. My son dined for free as well that day, and the staff sang me happy birthday.

Total bill came up to Rm 16++ and for such portion and a pleasant experience, I must say that it’s worth every penny spent.

Cleffairy: Sometimes, all you need is just a little breather to make yourself feel better. The world can be really overwhelming, so please love yourself a little bit more and take a little breather every now and then.

My 14 Days Beauty Challenge With EPHYRA

Remember I posted up about EPHYRA quite some time ago? I’m not sure if you remembered it, but I’ve shared a blog post about it quite some time ago and have been sharing EPHYRA’s photos on my Facebook page and Instagram quite frequently throughout the month.

I’m sure you know what EPHYRA is by now, but if you haven’t been lurking around in the cyberspace and have no idea what is it, allow me to reintroduce it to you.

EPHYRA is a beauty drink that contains collagen and and all sort of natural goodness that could help supplement your body to not only be more beautiful and ravishing, but healthy and energetic as well. For a detail information about it you can read my post HERE

 photo epdrink_zps857882ff.jpg

When I first posted up about EPHYRA on my Facebook and Instagram, I received tonnes of mixed reaction from my friends and followers in the form of comments, private messages and emails. Some are out of curiousity about the product and some was appalled that I would be ‘poisoning’ my body with chemical drinks that claimed to be able to make you more beautiful. To be honest, I was a little bit flabbergasted with such remarks, but then again, it is to be expected cuz some of my friends are health freaks who supports a complete organic diet regime in their lives. To some of them, as long as the food or drinks does not originally grow on plants, they’re all harmful to the body.

But I beg to differ. It is truly unfair to say that taking health/beauty supplement like EPHYRA is harmful for the body as throughout my 14 days using EPHYRA, I gain nothing but benefits from it. EPHYRA changed my life for the better.

Let me tell you a little secret. I never was a vain person til I realizes that my entire body is damaged. I never used to bother on how I look like and whenever I go out, I never even bothered with any make ups. I never even bothered to use sunscreen when I go out. I did not realized it then, but by and by, my entire body began to age prematurely. There are fine lines, and my skin was terribly tanned and uneven. Even then, I did not care until I was contracted with chicken pox. Yup. You’re reading that right. I never had chicken pox before as a child, and I was unfortunate enough to get it as an adult. Inexperienced as I was, I thought the terrible dots and the chickenpox scars that’s spread all over my body will fade away within a week or two after I recovered, but boy, I was dead wrong! My body was never the same again and not only the dotty scars turned terribly black and dark, but my skin was terribly dry too. It was terribly dehydrated, no matter how much fluid I take daily and the skin became so dry and scaly that it fell off. Such thing undermined my confidence greatly and I started to be so ashamed with my skin’s condition to the point I practically lock myelf at home and only goes out when necessary.

Then came along a blogger friend Eyriqazz. He introduced me to EPHYRA and I decided to take up the 14 days challenge with EPHYRA. Yes, yes, men can benefit from this beauty drink too, not just the ladies, yea? I was a bit reluctant at first, but hey, I was already halfway becoming an old hag after the chickenpox. What have I got to lose? So I took up the challenge, and below is my 14 days journal entry.

14 days journal entry with EPHYRA

Day 1: I was a little skeptical about drinking EPHYRA, cuz most collagen and beauty drinks taste nasty. But I tried it regardless and was pleased to discover that EPHYRA is not only easy to prepare; all you need to do is just pour out the sachet contents into the shaker and shake it with cold water, but it taste very, very good too! EPHYRA tasted like a yummilicious glass of orange juice. I was all smile and immediately craved for a second glass on the spot, but rules are rules. One can only take EPHYRA once a day and according to prescribed serving. Completely a pleasant experience.

Day 2: I did not realize if there is any changes, but I noticed that I had no problems running around like the crazy Duracell Bunny all day long in events and whatnot. That’s pretty surprising cuz I get tired pretty easily and my mood can get terribly nasty due to fatigue.

Day 3: My skin isn’t any fairer and the dark chicken pox scar was still there, but I noticed that my skin is not as dry.

Day 4: Bowel movements improves and I pee more often.

Day 5: I was able to sleep better.

Day 6: Started noticing that my face is getting smoother and much more hydrated from within.

Day 7: The real fun begins, could really start to notice the difference in my face. It’s now brighter and my skin feels hydrated from within.

Day 8: Was out whole day again, attending events. Was filled with energy and people mistook my son for being my kid brother twice.

Day 9: Flaky and scaly skin is much lesser and I could seriously see the new skin regeneration effects.

Day 10: Skin is much clearer, smoother and the best part, chicken pox scar started to really fade.

Day 11: Took a good look in the mirror and noticed that my face is much fairer and my cheeks have natural rosy blush though there was no make up on. Skin is devoid of pimples though I was having PMS symptoms. The dark circles around the eyes and eyebags has pretty much faded. Skin tone is much more even too.

Day 12: More and more chicken pox scars faded away and my skin feels hydrated from.within all day through. Another noticeable positive changes that I noticed is that my gum is no longer bleed easily. I suppose all that vitamins in EPHYRA contributed in this change too.

Day 13: Again, someone mistook me as my son’s elder sister and I noticed that my lips is surprisingly soft, fuller and pinkish without the usage of lip balm.

Day 14: Chicken pox scar is no longer noticeable. Skin much softer and smoother and my face is much more radiant than before. Took selfies and compared the picture with the one taken before I started to consume EPHYRA and I can happily say that I look much better and healthier now.

So, am I satisfied with the result? Yes, absolutely! I could actually see positive results in just 5 days of usage, and I’m definitely a happy camper, considering that I feel much more beautiful and confident now. I rarely feel as tired as before, and feel completely revitalized. A note here: I did not use any other skincare products throughout my 14 days challenge with EPHYRA, so I can vouch that it is really, really effective!

Not convinced? Well then just take a look at the before and after below.

 photo fd63de51-2ebe-4dba-8f3e-6b3e00c13ec2_zps101e2711.jpg

Can you see the difference? Skin is much fairer and flawless.

 photo ephyramodelling2_zpsc74ec779.jpg

And lips is much pinker. These photos are taken completely ‘nude’ with no makeups on and no filter was used whatsoever. Please ignore the damaged- looking hair, though. I had a little bit of a disaster in a stupid hairsalon and not even EPHYRA could save my burnt and frazzled hair. That’s another story altogether and I need to fix it and rescue it by using some hair products or chopped them all off, but apart from the disastrous hair, I believe that the changes that EPHYRA helped me achieve is amazing!

 photo pizapcom13804275379551_zpsd54e6394.jpg

Ugly chicken pox scar has faded, and my skin is not as flaky and as dry as before too and I have no doubts that with continuous usage, I’ll be able to get rid of them unhealthy skin and damaged skin completely. :D

Some may worry about side effects from consuming these beauty drinks, but I can assure you that this product is definitely safe for consumption. There’s no side effects, and while it is advisable for you to consult your doctor before consuming EPHYRA if you’re pregnant, it is completely safe for breastfeeding mothers as EPHYRA is known for helping breastfeeding mothers produce high quality breast milk and increase of breast milk production. :D

 photo ephyra-blog1_zpsf5804029.jpg

Here’s some testimonial from EPHYRA users regarding the breast milk production.

Skeptical about that? Don’t worry…I have a friend who is a breastfeeding mother. I won’t be saying much about that cuz I think it is best that you pay a visit to her blog yourself HERE and see her testimonial on how EPHYRA has benefited her and her baby. :D

Love Your Heart Day Public Talk at UMMC Cardiology Unit

It’s been almost a decade since I last step into a lecture hall. The last time I was in a lecture hall was during my final exam in university. I never knew that I’ll be saying this, but I really do miss my college years.

 photo IMG_0463_zps76180cf7.jpg

Lucky me, I was given a chance to relive my notorious college years a few years ago. UMMC Cardiology Unit was having a ‘Love Your Heart Day’ Public Talk a couple of days ago and a bunch of us bloggers were invited to check it out.

 photo heartday1_zps45738b21.jpg

After the registration, the public and invited media alike were ushered into a huge lecture hall. The talk kicks off with recital of prayers by Dr. Syadi and speech by the Head of Cardiology Unit, Prof Dr. Wan Azman. His speech was then followed by the official launch of the public talk and the announcement for “Love Your Heart’ Survey. The survey sought to shed light on cardiac risk factors and treatment options as well as patients’ understanding on these issues.

According to the ‘Love Your Heart Survey’, a total of 328 respondent, or 80% had not even performed regular health test before they had been diagnosed with Coronory Heart Diseases.

Remember a few days ago I posted the picture for my Wordless Wednesday Entry with a caption “Do You Love ‘ME’”? Well that was 2013′s World Heart Day campaign poster. :D

The World Heart Day is celebrated on 29th September and will highlight a life-course approach to the prevention and control of Coronory Heart Disease with a focus on women and children and show what actions can be taken through a person’s life to reduce their risk of Coronory Heart Disease.

You can keep a tab on updates and whatnot on the campaign on various social media with the hashtag #worldheartday. The entire campaign emphasized on preventing the future impact of heart disease and stroke by enabling heart-healthy living from childhood throughout adulthood because healthy children lead to healthy adults and healthy adults lead to healthy families and communities.

 photo ximagejpgpagespeedic1NxiDyD2yJ_zps61403905.jpg

Us media were then ushered to the media room for press conference and we were given a chance to listen to lectures first hand. Here’s a picture of Prof Dr. Wan Azman, demonstrating the mechanics of the human heart.

 photo heartday2_zps8ea35537.jpg

According to the good doc,  Coronory Heart Disease can affect people of all ages and population groups, including women and children. However, their risk can be controlled, treated or modified through everyday heart-healthy behaviours, such as eating a healthy diet, taking regular exercise and avoiding tobacco use.

Did you know? Heart disease is actually the number one killer of women, causing 1 in 3 female deaths: shockingly, that’s about one death per minute! It is vital that women learn the truth about their cardiovascular disease risk and take action to protect themselves and their family. Children are vulnerable too: the risk for cardiovascular disease can begin before birth during foetal development, and increase further during childhood with exposure to unhealthy diets, lack of exercise and smoking.

SIGH. It’s all about lifestyle. Modern society can expose children to risk factors such as diets with too few calories, diets high in “bad” fats and sugar; activities such as computer games that discourage physical activity; and in some countries, tobacco advertising that encourages tobacco use or environments filled with secondhand tobacco smoke.

There’s plenty of things that were taught during the lecture, but the infographic above practically sums it up. :D Do take some time to take a look at it, folks. It will do you good, I reckon.

After the lecture, I took some time to take a look at the exhibition hall and discovered first hand that UMMC was also providing free consultation and health check to the public in conjunction of World Heart Day 2013.

Getting health check done. After lurking around in the health check booths, I decided that I haven’t had enough and explored further. There are plenty of exhibit items that day. Check out the pictures below. They’re rich with infos.

 photo IMG_0504_zps415e6a6b.jpg

The one thing in the exhibition hall that caught my attention is the Coronory Heart Bypass surgery and stents that’s used in the procedure.

 photo IMG_0494_zps1b351530.jpg

A stent is a small mesh tube that’s used to treat narrow or weak arteries. Arteries are blood vessels that carry blood away from your heart to other parts of your body.

A stent is placed in an artery as part of a procedure called angioplasty. Angioplasty restores blood flow through narrow or blocked arteries. A stent helps support the inner wall of the artery in the months or years after angioplasty.

 photo IMG_0468_zpse9661fac.jpg

Doctors also may place stents in weak arteries to improve blood flow and help prevent the arteries from bursting.

 photo IMG_0491_zpsdc155d9f.jpg

Stents usually are made of metal mesh, but sometimes they’re made of fabric. Fabric stents, also called stent grafts, are used in larger arteries.

 photo IMG_0492_zps40fa9228.jpg

A closer look at a stent.I was informed that some stents are coated with medicine that is slowly and continuously released into the artery. These stents are called drug-eluting stents. The medicine helps prevent the artery from becoming blocked again. According to Prof Dr. Wan Azman, these are a cutting edge technology in medical science and many has benefit from the procedures, but of course, prevention is always better than cure.

 photo heartday3_zpsf46dda90.jpg

We bloggers certainly had a field day learning the matters of the heart, that day. :D Here’s one for the album.

Need more info on World Heart Day 2013, ‘Love Your Heart’ Survey results, angioplasty& stents usage, public talks and etc? Well, hop over to http://www.ummc.edu.my/ for more info.

Cleffairy: I’m all for healthy living and taking care of my heart, and I’m sure all of you out there share the same sentiment too.

Are You a Single Mother?

It was a weekend. My husband need to work again and I happened to have an event to attend. And as usual, I brought my kid along with me. It is a norm for me to attend events or invited reviews with the kid, cuz obviously I’m the only person who could handle the kid and no babysitters is trained enough to handle the behaviour of an autistic child. Can’t blame them. Even the father of the kid finds it a horrendous task to be alone with the kid for even two hours. I could still recall my husband complaining how the ‘kid disturbed him and giving him problems’ when I happened to have to ask him to take care of the kid for two hours during one of my non-child friendly food review session in Pavilion a month ago. He even had to come and look for me when the two hours is up with the kid in tow. Yes, the boy is that challenging and difficult to handle.

Well, thank God I have no more kids and decided not to have anymore kids for good. I can’t imagine myself having to handle newborns on my own 24/7. I’m not exactly a spring chicken anymore and I’m liable to die because of stress or go insane cuz kids just drive me crazy. I realized a tad too late that I’m more a wicked elder sister material than a mum. Such stress is toxic for the body, you know? I do wish to live a bit longer and enjoy what the world have to offer.

Anyway, enough of the rambling about things that I can never change. What I want to share with all of you today is my experience of being labeled a ‘single mother with a special need child’. Yea…I kinda get that pretty often these days.  You know, well-meaning people often do ask me that. Even the teachers in my son’s school asked me that cuz some of the new teachers in school never seen my husband before and it is safe to say that my husband almost never make an appearance during the day…be it report card day or school trips. You see, his work no longer allow flexibility or time off, and I kinda stopped asking him to take time off to be involved in our son’s life. It’s too much a hassle to ask anyway. Why bother ask when you already know that it is pointless  anyway? He even have to work on weekends these days. Full time at work and part time husband and father, as they say.

I used to be offended when people asked me if I’m a single mother or a divorcee, but not anymore. I get too much of those, and these days my replies are always casual. If I’m in the mood to entertain such personal question, I will spend some time explaining that my husband is busy working and his work requires him to work even on weekends and he can’t make it to accompany us during events/lunch/dinner/etc.

If I’m feeling cheeky, I’ll just say “What do you mean the boy is my son? He’s my kid brother. My mum is having a field day at spa and I got stuck babysitting him.” I usually get away with this too. Hehehe…the kid looks old enough to pass as my kid brother. Ah…the joy of having kids early. The older they get, the more they look like your siblings.

If I am not in the mood to entertain people, however, I will just nod and say “Yes, I’m a single mum” and stupid questions will just end there. You’ll be amazed how a “Yes” to those stupid question actually stops people from asking you more and more stupid question further. Usually if I answered a “No, I’m not a single mum, my husband is working”, people will press on and ask why he has to work on weekend, or why they never see him before.  Or worst, people tend to ask me if I would be interested in having another child since my first one is a special need etc. You have no idea how tiring it is to smile and entertain stupid questions like that! Some people should just go and become a journalist and make money out of their busybody attitude.

I suppose I’m older now and I can’t really give a hoot on what people thinks of my marital status. Married or not married…it is none of anyone’s business, don’t you think? After all, I don’t think I’m alone in this department. There are loads of women out there who live their lives like a widow or a single mother because they are entrusted to take care of their kids on their own while their husbands goes outstation and stuff and only meet once a month or something. I realize it is normal for women to be ‘single’ even when they are married. No biggie. Such things has been ongoing for God knows how long.

Cleffairy: Would love to see the day when people starts asking men if they are single fathers instead. That would be an awesome thing to see.

Flash Your Pearly Whites with Pearl Drops

What does being a mum or dad means to you? Well, being a mum to me means there’s a lot of hard work involved, and a lot of caffeinated drinks to keep you awake when you’re rushing for dateline. Well, at least to me it means that. I’m a blogger, author and a mother. I’m not just your ordinary, regular mother. I’m a mother to a special need child. And taking care of an autistic child 24/7 is pretty demanding because there’s not much people who is willing to give me some time off. I have no idea how many babysitters quit because they can’t handle my child and as a result, I don’t get much ‘ME’ time. It’s very tiring, but ah, cest’ la vie! Life goes on and I have to persevere.

I try very hard to squeeze time for my work, but being someone who works in a creative line, inspiration does not always strike at a godly hour, and more often than not, I will have to supplement all my creative writing needs, READ: writing at ungodly hour of 3am in the morning til 7am with caffeine. These caffeine usually comes in the form of tea or refreshing sport drinks.

They usually work very well to keep me energized and awake, but they’re so bad for my teeth! As time goes by, I can see the effect of constant caffeine intake. They make my teeth turn so yellow. Regardless on how I brush them daily, I can never get back my pearly whites! :( I know we can always go to the dentist and have them clean up, but then again, I don’t even have time for myself, what more time for dentists appointment.

 photo IMG_3148_zps63fd72de.jpg

But lucky me, Church & Dwight Co., Inc, the leading teeth whitening specialist offers a range of oral care whitening products that leave teeth smooth and clean as well as looking whiter and brighter. And DKSH Malaysia Sdn Bhd  just happened to launch the new Pearl Drops Professional Intensive White toothpolish yesterday in The Gardens Cafe, Midvalley.

During the event Pearl Drops made also made a donation of RM 8,000 to World Vision to fund its charity project in Indonesia known as “Sanitation through Community Empowerment” and the money will go towards building sanitation facilities and empowering the community to improve their health and quality of life. World Vision is a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling poverty and injustice.

I did not managed to get a pic of the donation ceremony, though, cuz I was too busy drooling over the Brazilian dancers who performed a medley of cheeky and sexy Brazilian dance. :D

Take a look at the vid! Aren’t they hot? :D I think they are hot together. But don’t think of flirting with them, though, ladies and gents. These dancers are married to each other. LOL! :D

 photo IMG_3133_zps9fad3f8a.jpg

Will you just look at that smiles? These Brazilian dancers are also Pearl Drops users, and their smiles is just so amazing! I definitely would want sparkly smile like that too! :D (And yes, apart from restroring my flashy whites, I would want to be able to dance a Samba like them too! But I can dream. Hahaha…)

 photo IMG_3137_zps1592b68f.jpg

The new Pearl Drops Professional Intensive White toothpolish works through a 4D whitening system – it cleans, whitens, protects and shines. It can be used safely every day, polishing away stains and plaque and restoring the natural whiteness to teeth.

Any smartphone users here? I bet there are plenty. I’m a smartphone user myself. I’m using a smartphone running on android OS, and it has served me very well for the past few years. I’m a big Android fan as it gives me the freedom to customize and tweak the phone according to my usage, but I’m not averse to trying out smartphones with other operating system. And speaking of other phones with other operating system it reminds me that BlackBerry® recently introduced the new BlackBerry® Z30 smartphone.

It’s BlackBerry’s biggest, fastest and most advanced smartphone yet. Featuring BlackBerry® 10 OS version 10.2, the new all-touch BlackBerry Z30 smartphone comes with a beautiful 5” display and the largest battery yet on a BlackBerry smartphone.

BBM™ Now in Any App and Message Previews Everywhere BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2 continues to refine the unique communications experience of the platform. You can now get a preview of any message as it arrives in whatever app you’re using, and immediately dismiss it or tap it to read the full content and respond. If a BBM message arrives, you can instantly reply to the message without even leaving the app you’re in. In addition, if your phone is locked, you can tap the various icons on the Lock Screen to see an instant preview of your most recent messages and notifications.

How To Look Good When You Feel Like Crap

My days are usually bad than good, and physical and emotional stress usually takes a toll on my body; as a result, I often feel like crap. And my emotion usually shows on my face. Clearly. And not having enough ME time caused me to look like crap too, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve to look good in a jiffy during those crazily long and miserable days. :D See if these tips helps you to boost your confidence too:

Bad day and no time to style your hair? No worries, just accessorize it with a scarf or a hair band. But if all else fail, just pull it up in a scrunchie. It usually helps to hide your disastrous hair. That will buy you some time before you can make appointment with your stylist to rescue you from your hair disaster.
No time for make up but desperately need to look good? Not in the mood to face yourself in front of the vanity mirror? There’s a trick to get around that. Lip tint usually doubles as blusher. Just apply accordingly and you’ll look refreshed and less haggard in a minute.
Bring along hydrating mist every where you go. They help your skin to stay hydrated, even on the longest day.
Feel awful? Had lover’s spat the night before and your eyes are swollen from crying all night long? No worries, grab a pair of sunglasses. They not only will hide your swollen eyes, but pretty cool stuff too as it makes you look like a fashionista.
Haven’t been shopping cuz you’ve been too caught up with life and work? Limited wardrobe collection? Just accessorize. Earrings, bangles, fancy necklaces. Accessories usually helps to spice up looks without having to spend a fortune on looking good. So ladies, don’t be afraid to mix-and match.
Last but not least, smile. Flash those pearly whites. It’s difficult to smile when you’re feeling miserable at first, but trust me, it gets easier with practice.

These are not much of a tips, but I hope it will be helpful for you as it has for me.

Cleffairy: Getting more and more vain with each passing seconds, so even when I feel miserable inside, I still will want to put on a mask, and hope that one day, the mask will be something real.
