Goodreads Friends

Hey folks,

So Amazon is now preventing goodreads friends from giving each others books reviews, so I’m not going to be accepting new goodreads friends, and I’m going to be deleting all the friends I have. I never come to goodreads anyway (it’s not for writers), so this shouldn’t impact anyone, but just in case you’re curious - it’s not you, it’s not even me - it’s Amazon. But DO please go to amazon

Lev and 151 other people liked Mackenzi's review of Jack of Hearts (and Other Parts):
Jack of Hearts by Lev A.C. Rosen
"This book is like a hug that comes with a slap on the ass (in the consensual flirtatious sexy way). It's the sex ed class you didn't get in high school, positive and frank and honest without ever being didactic. Having this book as a teen would have " Read more of this review »

“I would not look good as a splatter on the floor. It's not my ideal body type”

“It must be odd having a lover as a servant." Jack said. "You mean a servant as a lover." Violet said. "What you describe is merely how most men view marriage.”
Lev A.C. Rosen, All Men of Genius

“No. If she cared about me, she would have loved me for whomever I was, not just who she wanted me to be. What she maybe thought I was. Relationships are always made up of these little perceptions of relationships, you know. What you think is friendship is something else so to someone else. You can never really know what's in someone else's mind, no matter how much you love them."
I nod, then say, "Yeah," because I realize she can't see me. I think of the distance between us, and how maybe there's that distance between all of us, because she's right, I can't know what's in someone else's head. And just like that, I can feel the distance close—snap like a rubber band. We were never really far apart, maybe. It just looked that way.”
Lev A.C. Rosen, Jack of Hearts
