The author of the dark mystery thrillers Cromwell's Folly, No Good Deed Left Undone, and Lying, Cheating, and Occasionally Murder, Ginny Fite is an award-winning journalist who has covered crime, politics, government, healthcare, art and all things human. She has been a spokesperson for a governor and a member of Congress, a few colleges and universities, and a robotics R&D company.

She has degrees from Rutgers University and Johns Hopkins University and studied at the School for Women Healers and the Maryland Poetry Therapy Institute.

I write down the lines when I…moreI write fiction in the same way I write poetry. I listen for first lines, on the end of which might be a very big fish. I write down the lines when I hear them. If I don't write them down immediately, they will disappear back into the vast ocean of ideas and images. So, when I'm writing a story, I take the character who appears, the action that shows up, the setting that lays itself out in front of my mind and I write that. It might not be the "right" set of words for that moment, but it can be used later! If there are no words that day, I paint.(less)
