Dungeons? Check. Dragons? Pending.

I'm trying not to read into it too much, but I'm just going to say that my story is first in the anthology of excellent adventuretime/sexytime stories.
Encounter at the Lonely Dragon
Gavin Thorne is returning to the questing life under duress of a failing economy, and he's not happy about it. But work is work, and Gavin figures getting back into professional adventuring is something he can handle. What he may not be ready to handle is sharing a loft with an ex-lover and having to confront all the pent up feelings that go with it, including the lingering sense of betrayal of a quest gone wrong.
It's very D&D inspired, and Gavin is a big grumpy idiot, but I kind of love it to death. I hope, when this long awaited collection finally arrives, you will to. It's out on the 27th: don't think I won't remind you.

I’m so excited to finally get to share this one with you. Eighteen months in the making, and What Happens in the Tavern Stays in the Tavern from Circlet Press is finally here! I got an email last week giving us fellow anthology authors very little warning with a happy surprise.

What Happens at the Tavern Stays at the Tavern – Circlet Press
‘Encounter at the Lonely Dragon’ inWhat Happens at the Tavern…fromCirclet Press
Since Tolkien’s time, many authors have taken readers along on elaborate treks through fantastic worlds. In What Happens at the Tavern Stays at the Tavern, we asked writers to tackle the pauses and interstices in a fantasy quest. What kinds of steamy adventures happen behind the scenes, when our heroes and heroines are trekking along their journey?
Gavin Thorne is returning to the questing life under duress of a fai...

New Release: Busy Doing Nothing! M/M Summer Romance
***
Busy Doing Nothing
by Elinor Gray
(novella length: 141 pages, ~28,000 words)
Available now from Silver Publishing!
Jake is overqualified for scooping ice cream, but what better way to spend the summer before senior year than living at the beach with his best friends and working on the boardwalk? Plenty of sun and surf, not to mention Michael, the hot lifeguard who comes to the stand to flirt.
When he invites Jake to a party, Michael sparks a hot, playful fling that Jake almost can't believe is happening to him. But summer has to end, and Jake has a policy against long-distance relationships. He breaks up with Michael and heads back to college.
Will Jake realize how special Michael is before he slips away for good?
This was a novella borne of my love of the beach house my grandfather owns on the Eastern Shore. I used to go down every summer for at least a week, and that house owns such a big piece of my heart. Now, I can get down there maybe one weekend a year, but I'm hoping as my transition out of school life and into real life, I'll be able to get there more often. Ahh, the Atlantic.
And now, the important bit. Leave me a comment if you want a chance to win a copy of this e-book! The drawing will be open until August 11th at midnight (EST).

It’s here! There was a week or so there in June that I was worried it wasn’t going to come together in time (completely my fault), but it’s here!

Boys of Summer
This self-indulgent beach story, clocking in around 25,500 words, will be coming out with the others in the collection in July 28th, 2012. I was wrong about original art all for me. :P

Jake is overqualified for scooping ice cream, but he can't imagine a better way to spend his last summer before senior year than living in a tiny bungalow at the beach with his two best friends and working on the boardwalk. The sun is shining, the ocean is cold, and there's a hot lifeguard, Michael, that comes to the stand every other day to flirt. When he invites Jake and his friends to a house party, Michael sparks a hot, playful summer fling that Jake almost can't believe is happening to him. But the summer has to end sometime, and Jake has a policy against long distance relationships. He breaks it off with Michael, goes back to school to finish his college career, and doesn't realize until Christmas how serious they really were. Just friends isn't going to cut it. Can Jake get their summer romance afloat again before its too late, or will Michael always be the one that got away?
