Danica Avet was born and raised in the wilds of South Louisiana where mosquitoes are big enough to carry off small children and there are only two seasons: hot and hotter. With a BA in History, she figured there were enough fry cooks in the world and decided to try her hand at writing.

Writing is how she gives the voices in her head a way out. They speak to her constantly wanting their stories told and she does her best to accommodate them. She writes paranormal romance and may eventually branch out to contemporaries. When she isn’t writing, working, or contemplating the complexities of the universe, she spends time gathering inspiration from her insane family, reads far more than any sane person would want to, and watches hot burly men chas

Yes, Caressed by Starlight is a serial of four books. I'm hoping to have the serial completed by the end of summer at the latest. I'm wrapping up book 3 in my Band Nerd series and Taming Hels is next in the queue :)(less)

Hi Celestine!

Actually yes, I was a band nerd. I played the flute from 5th - 8th grade before taking the leap to tuba. It made sense at the time! LOL I was a tuba chick all through high school into college. Numerous competitions, football games, and concerts, not to mention road trips gave me a lot of fodder for stories.

While I haven't touched an instrument in far too many years to mention, I still enjoy going to marching festivals. There's just something about being surrounded by fellow band nerds that soothes me and watching how into these competitions they are just reminds me how much I loved it.

By the way? To this day, I still roll step.

Thanks for the question!

Things are looking a little dusty here on the blog. Hm. I suppose I should fix that, huh?

Sooo….

Yeah, not really much to report. I’ve been saving my writing for these band nerds. O.M.G. the drama! They all have some defining moment in their lives that they want to share with me and the world. Damn kids. But you know, I don’t mind it. Not really. It’s fun to sink into their brains and help them w...
