Talking About ASB

I’m loving the emails coming on from you guys about ASB. I’m loving that you love it. It’s good to hear, especially since every step of the way writing that book, I worried you wouldn’t.

Let’s talk. You’ve got questions and I’ll attempt to answer them. Please note, mild spoilers ahead. If you haven’t read the boys yet, you might want to skip this post, eh?

The consensus appears to be about Patel. So here goes, who he has a hard-on for will be revealed in T & T’s book. And you’ll know why he fre...

Fantasy for Sale w/ Sage Marlowe

Welcome guest blogger Sage Marlowe, with a taste of Fantasy for Sale.

*~*

Hi all and thank you, Avril, for hosting me today and allowing me to show off my latest “baby”, Fantasy for Sale.

This emotional story about Cam, a hooker with a dark past, and Nate, the wonderful, loving and patient man who falls for him has been a challenge for me to write. While it started out as one of my earliest attempts at writing, it took me over two years to finish it, with long periods of inspirational flat line...

Meet your Mystery Couple

We ready to talk about the boys yet? Nope? Okay, no. I know a lot of you have been waiting, and are still waiting, for third party sites to put ASB up for sale. I have no idea what the holdup is. I, and the publisher, have to control over it. If you don’t wish to buy, or can’t for whatever reason, at the publisher’s site, hopefully you won’t have to wait much longer.

I talked about my nervousness earlier. A few of you have managed to assuage my fears with your kind words. To those of you who m...

In Which I Discuss ASB

Thought I’d talk to you about the book. Yes, since it’s just a day away. Yeah. So we’re gonna talk. Or at least, I’m gonna talk as if we’re all in my house, in my living room, and you’re gathered round, sitting on my couch sipping ginger beer or some shit. My Island peeps know what I’m talking about right there.

I’ve said several times, Syren wasn’t supposed to have his own book. I only wanted to tell Gabe and Kane’s story. Well, first Gabe, then I discovered he had a brother. A gay brother (f...

Music for ASB

I can’t begin to express how much music is to my writing process. Music and coffee. Sometimes I can go without the coffee—I hate it, but I do—yet I can’t type a word without music. This morning I checked the playlist titles “ASB” and I’m sharing some of the many, many songs that influenced Syren and Kane’s story. These are songs chosen specifically because they meant something, they spoke and resonated with the characters, their emotions, struggles and love. As with all the playlists I make f...

Attack of the Killer Story

There’s a moment after I finish a story, one I’ve typed “THE END”, that I’m overcome with doubts. Not about what I’d just written, but about the story to come. The next one that opens with the words “CHAPTER ONE.” It’s the hardest thing, making myself sit back down at the computer with the intent of beginning anew. It’s not the doubt of “Am I good enough?” But it’s “Can I be as good as the last book?” I always, always entertain that moment where I think, why don’t we make the last one, the la...

Stuff and Teases

I finally found the time—procrastination is a sonofabitch!—to read over the free read and convert it to PDF. So, Always a Sinner, Angelo and Gabe and the madness, is compiled into one neat file on my Free Reads page for any of you who wish to download it and re-read.

I’ve been sharing bits and pieces of Syren and Kane over at my Tumblr page. Why didn’t you guys tell me about Tumblr?? It’s another time waster, but I’m sure I can be forgiven, what with all the men-porns all over that place. It’s...

Almost Time

The time is almost here. June 19th isn’t nearly as far away as it seemed the first time I learned A Sinner Born’s release date.

I’m just as impatient as the rest of you. To entice you even more, beginning June 1st, I’ll be posting snippets, FAQs and teasers on Twitter and FB. It’ll run from June 1st to 19th. I’ll share things like my favorite scene or quote or whatever. A lil some’n to tease and whet your appetites.

I’ve got a couple interviews and blog spots lined up, but not much. I’m really...
