Ramona Wray is reading The Pisces: Incisive in that it asks all the right questions; consistent, in that the character always goes for the wrong answers... Hilarious in part. But unnecessarily explicit and supremely coarse as far as the language is concerned. Interesting, all in all, but definitely not something I would read again, or in polite company (particularly as I could see the gist of it proffered in a much better package).

"Although an obvious product of the time in which it was written, I found this book truly difficult to read. The misogyny in it is pervasive and strong. This makes it a very disturbing read and for very little reward."

Historically-inspired fiction, and a haunting story at that. Very well written and absolutely engrossing. Loved it.

“He lowered his mouth to mine anyway, close enough that our lips almost brushed for a millisecond before his glided across my cheek, his breath laying a fiery trail from the corner of my mouth to my ear.
"I'm not going to kiss you, Lily," he whispered. "I'm patient. I'll wait until you want it bad enough."

"You'll be asking for it soon," he added. "No hesitation.”

“Elementary, my dear Watson."
"That's a misquotation, by the way," I countered without thinking. Which might've made more of an impact if I'd stopped grinning like a cretin.
"See? Ten minutes and you already know I read Sherlock Holmes. Just imagine what you could discover if we went out on a real date.”
Ramona Wray, Hex: A Witch and Angel Tale

“I love how you look at me."

"And how's that?" I asked, blushing on cue.
His lower lip curled in that mischievous way it did.
"Like you're having a hard time deciding between my lips and this blueberry pie. And I know nothing comes between you and this pie."
I giggled. "Very observant. Wonder which one will win?”

They indeed are dumb; I sent my sister a present to Canada two weeks before Christmas, and she hasn't got it yet, nor did they send it back.

Many times, and yes, it is kinda strange :p But I don't mind. The fact is I go to the dentist every Friday to have my fangs filed... But don't tell anyone! :D

You'd be disappointed by the castle - it's all very shipshape and not even a tiny bit creepy :\ The better to accommodate the hordes of tourists, I guess...
