I am really, REALLY excited to share this with you. This is the Barnes & Noble Collector’s Edition of Ruin and Rising, complete with fancy gold cover and exclusive short story.
I’ve been wanting to tell part of the Darkling’s story for a very long time, so I hope that you’ll enjoy getting a glimpse into his past.
Here are some details and answers to the questions I’ve been getting:
The story is called “Demon in the Wood.”
It’s about 30 pages long, twice as long as “The Too-Clever Fox.”
It a story from the Darkling’s youth and Ravka’s early days.
It will not be available in the ebook edition. For now, my understanding is that this is a Barnes & Noble hardcover exclusive.
People have also asked about signed copies of Ruin and Rising. We will have opportunities to get signed copies of all the books in the series coming up, as well as some beautiful new art, AND a really amazing contest with independent book stores across the country that could bring me right to your front door. Or very close to your front door.
