What Do You Know About Buying Brianny (by Abbie Adams)?
Buying Brianny is a new “Masters of the Castle” book by Abbie Adams. As with all the “Masters of the Castle” books, it’s a BDSM romance. Abbie has done a fine job of fitting into the universe, adding her new story, and making it stand out and stand alone. I think you’ll enjoy this wonderful book.
Abbie was kind enough to answer a personal question for me.
Patricia: How do you rate success?
Abbie: That is a very hard question to answer. Seeing my book go number one doesn’t mean “Hey, I’m so popular!” It means that these people totally got something out of this book. They understood me. They related to the struggle of my characters. I had a really hard time letting this story out, and this going to the top of the chart means it was good that I let it out, and maybe somebody else relates.
Here’s a story summary.
They say the best way to learn a language is through immersion, Brianny wasn’t sure it worked the same way in BDSM.
He was a man for God’s sake. A man living in the twentieth century where treating a woman delicately had been bred into him. You never hit a girl, his mother had taught him that from a tender age. Women’s rights were touted hither and yon. Spanking was for disobedience in children. No, children weren’t spanked anymore either.
Kian had been spanked many times as a child. His single mother might have seemed like a country mouse, but she’d walloped him good on more than one occasion. And he’d deserved everything she dished out. He knew it—and he knew she loved him and wanted the best for him too.
That hadn’t worked with an ex of his though. She hadn’t thought of it as loving when he’d busted her ass for drinking and driving. No, she’d ended the relationship in a hurry. Of course he’d never repeated the mistake with another woman. Not even his Brianny, who as it turns out, has craved discipline among other things.
Brianny has a bucket list, not the kind you want to do before you die—the kind you do before you get married. Okay, maybe not that either, but her sister says unless Brianny explores her inner submissive, she’ll never be content with her future husband.
But what if said future husband turns her away because he doesn’t like her submissive side? It had taken Brianny a pint of Hot Damn and her kinky sister to even put voice to her secret desires.
Some people go to strange and amazing lengths to prove their love. All Brianny wants as proof is for Kian to buy her at The Castle’s New Year’s Eve charity auction, then tie her up and take away her control. Consentual, non-consent, that’s what her sister had called it. Was that too much to ask?
Will Kian pay the asking price? Money might not buy love, but at The Castle it can buy a submissive for the week.
Next, please enjoy this excerpt. It really lets the reader know that there’s reality in there; it’s not only a fantasy. I think in BDSM books, we often lose sight that difficult things happen to real people. Here’s a case where the Master is put on the spot.
“Sir, I’m a little concerned by your treatment of this girl. It’s alarming when a submissive is terrified enough to run crying from a scene—and left to run through the castle without protection. What gives?” The darker Sylvester Stallone look-alike challenged him.
Kian turned back to the men. “Did she call the castle safeword?” He turned back to Bri to ask, “Do you want me to leave? If you don’t want to be near me, I’ll leave. In fact, that might be safer for you because, I’m going to end up blistering your ass before the night is through.”
“I’m going to have to ask you to step into the hall, sir.” Stallone stepped between Kian and Bri.
“She didn’t safeword. Ask her if she wants me to leave.” Kian crossed his arms over his chest. Jackson had warned Kian of the chance of this happening.
“We might do just that, but you are going to wait elsewhere.” The blond quarterback hedged him to the door.

Weekend Writing Warriors – Slow Down!
~Temporary Cover~
Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors on Patricia Green Books! It’s been a busy week, but lots of good things are going on. Today, I’m sharing more of my detective romance, Striker. This segment is pretty self-explanatory. It’s the opening of Chapter 2. (Some naughty language follows.)The next morning, I realized it had been a huge mistake to allow my partner to drive the police vehicle to the scene of the latest murder. She was reckless and completely unconcerned about other cars. Sure, we had our flasher in the window and the siren on, but we were in an unmarked car. People were slower to get out of the way than they would be for a marked police car. “Geez, slow the fuck down!”
She grinned at me and slewed the car on the wet road. A moment later, she was back in control, but her grin was a little false. I gripped the oh shit bar above the window and held on for dear life.
I believe you are getting an idea of why Detective Striker’s partner might end up getting a reprimand.
That’s it for this weekend, except I want to remind you all that from Monday, April 13, through Saturday, April 18, I’ll be teaching an online class on The Writer’s Business Plan. I wrote a post about it, including the class syllabus, here. I invite you to take the plunge into making your writing business profitable by doing a little planning.
Continue on to the other Weekend Writing Warriors’ sites. You’ll love what you read.

Have You Seen Behind Blue Eyes (by Jordan Abbott)?
Hello and welcome! Behind Blue Eyes is Jordan Abbott’s latest installment in the “Hells Vipers” series. It’s getting lots of 4 and 5 ★ reviews. The warning on Amazon says, “This is an erotic novel about a one percent motorcycle club known as the Hells Vipers. It contains sex, interracial relationships, violence and even kinkier sex.” Woo! Scorching!
Jordan had the grace to answer a question for me.
Patricia: How did you come up with the title?
Jordan: My novel plays like a movie in my head. The intenseness with blue eyes Nuke, it seemed like an obvious choice.
Patricia: I get a movie in my head, too, Jordan. Often, it’s only a matter of transcribing it. I love it when that happens.
Here’s a summary of the plot for Behind Blue Eyes:
When Nuke’s brother shows up at the Hells Vipers Motorcycle Club, he brings trouble with him, in more ways than one. Holden was always the good son, or so Nuke’s family thought, but Nuke knows some things his mother and sister don’t. The love of Nuke’s life, Jasmine, knows something is wrong as soon as Holden comes back into Nuke’s life. As Nuke struggles with the responsibilities that have come with his new position in the Hells Vipers, Holden’s presence threatens to undermine his position and his relationship.
Life’s gotten difficult for other members of the club, too. Hells Vipers full patch member Kevin has given up his position in the club in the aftermath of a betrayal that has left him bitter, and Pipe looks for love as he copes with a dangerous crush.
Meanwhile, just what is Holden up to? And can Nuke and Jasmine survive what’s in store when Nuke’s blood relative comes into their lives as they’re trying to form a family of their own?
And here’s a rockin’ excerpt:
Detective Lauer bent down even farther. He leaned forward until he was inches away from Nuke’s face. It was a brave move for a little man. Handcuffed or not, he could still kick his ass. “I read your rap sheet, Jason Stuart. I don’t like you.”
“Don’t feel bad. A lot of people don’t like me,” Nuke said as he cracked a smile and winked at him.
“I’m personally going to make sure that you get thrown so far into the hole, you won’t remember what daylight is!”
“You do know that solitary confinement isn’t truly a hole? That’s just an expression. Back in the day you could throw a prisoner in a hole but us criminals got rights now,” Nuke said and grinned again.
“Fuck you, Stuart.”
“You should keep your sexual fantasies about me to yourself,” Nuke shot back.
Detective Lauer stood back up and motioned to one of the patrolmen. “Take this piece of shit downtown, and don’t worry, biker boy. I’m going to make sure the ATF, DEA and any other three-letter government agency is aware that we got us a Hells Vipers on a first-degree murder charge and attempted sexual assault.”

Guest Cover Reveal: Only Marriage Will Do by Jenna Jaxon
Hi there! Few things resonate so well with a romantic spirit as a Jenna Jaxon novel. Jenna has a grasp of history and romance like classic authors such as Kathleen E. Woodiwiss and Johanna Lindsey. You cannot beat her writing. Today, she’s sharing the cover, blurb and an excerpt from her newest book, Only Marriage Will Do. We’re really lucky to be one of the earliest audiences for this work.
Here is the story teaser:
Not every happy-ever-after begins at “I do.”
When the hero of her dreams rescues Lady Juliet Ferrers from the man claiming to be her husband, she is sure she has found her one true love. But is she free to marry him? Not to be deterred, Juliet arranges for her hero, Captain Amiable Dawson, to escort her to her family estate, hoping that along the way she can win his love.
Amiable is charmed by the sweet, beautiful woman he rescued, and although he has grave reservations about her marital status, he allows himself to be swept up into Juliet’s romantic spell and the promise of a happy-ever-after.
The spell breaks when legal questions arise and Juliet faces the horror of not knowing if she is married to her knight in shining armor or the cruel viscount who is determined to have her at any price.
And here is an excerpt:
London July 2, 1761
The brass lion-head knocker under Amiable Dawson’s hand sent a sharp rap through the dark walnut door of Dunham House for the second time. The hot July sun hadn’t done his temper any good as he waited on the marble stoop for entrance to the Marquess of Dalbury’s townhouse. He’d been in a foul mood ever since the news of his beloved Katarina’s marriage to the marquess had reached him. Blast it to hell, he was supposed to have married the girl. At least he could make sure she was well and well taken care of by this man she had married.
At last a short, dark-haired maid opened the door. She took one look at him, gasped, and stepped back into the house. Her eyes widened and she glanced to her right, wringing her hands. “Who may I say—”
A man shouted from within. “No, I do not believe you.”
“It is true, I tell you!” A woman’s voice, raised and sharp with terror, sent a chill through Amiable.
Katarina. What in God’s name?
He barged past the stunned girl and strode down the hall toward the commotion. He burst through the doorway, expecting to defend the woman he loved, only to stop dead at the sight of a man lunging across a sofa and grasping a woman by the wrist. Amiable had half drawn his sword before he realized the woman was not Katarina, but a complete stranger. He dropped it back into its scabbard. This was none of his affair.
The young man, foppishly dressed in a robin’s egg blue satin coat dripping too many layers of frothy lace at throat and wrists looked at Amiable, a snarl on his lips.
Taking advantage of the distraction, the woman wrenched her arm from the man’s grip. “Praise God. Here he is.” She staggered as she righted herself. “Now you will have to believe me, Philippe.”
The fop scrambled back off the sofa and groped for a black lacquer walking stick that lay on the floor. Lips pressed together, he glowered at the woman. “That remains to be seen, ma chere. In any case, I have shown you the papers. They speak for themselves.”
The woman ran from behind the sofa to Amiable’s side, grazed a kiss over his cheek and whispered, “For God’s sake, help me. I am alone here and he is trying to take me away. Please, agree with whatever I say.”
Smiling into her pleading face, he grasped her hands and gave them a gentle squeeze to signal his acquiescence. “Whatever is the matter, my dear?” Hell if he knew. But he could play his part, even with little information. Let the lady lead and he’d follow as well as he could.
The woman smiled then took a deep breath. “My dear, may I present Viscount St. Cyr?” She nodded toward the fop. “Philippe, this is my husband, the Earl of Manning.”
I know you want this book. Who could resist? Here’s where you get it:
Finding Jenna Jaxon. Look here:
Jenna Jaxon is a multi-published author of historical and contemporary romance. She is currently finishing revisions to her fifth full length novel, To Woo A Wicked Widow, set in Regency England and the first book in her five part series, “The Widow’s Club”.
Only Marriage Will Do is the second book in her “Georgian House of Pleasure” series. Her medieval trilogy, “Time Enough to Love”, is available at all the major distributors.
Jenna has been reading and writing historical romance since she was a teenager. A romantic herself, she has always loved a dark side to the genre, a twist, suspense, a surprise. She tries to incorporate all of these elements into her own stories. She lives in Virginia with her family and a small menagerie of pets. When not reading or writing, she indulges her passion for the theatre, working with local theatres as a director. She often feels she is directing her characters on their own private stage.
She has equated her writing to an addiction to chocolate because once she starts she just can’t stop.

Weekend Writing Warriors – Striker
~Temporary Cover~
Welcome! This post is part of the Weekend Writing Warriors blog hop. This week, I’d like to share something new. It resides with my publisher now, waiting on its final edits. Striker is a crime/mystery erotic spanking romance. (Clearly, it is not discriminating among genres.) This is my first book for 2015, and my 31st book overall (including a few written under a pen name). I’m particularly proud of it as it represents the beginning of a transition for me.
In this segment, Jase Striker, police detective, finds his brand new partner, Angelica Piccolino, sitting at his desk, looking over his files. They haven’t hit it off well, and this doesn’t make it better.
I poked my head into Piccolino’s space, intending to make peace, but she wasn’t there. Maybe she had to pee. I shrugged and walked across the aisle to my own desk.
There she was. Sitting in my chair, at my desk, poring over the case file I’d left there. She spoke up before I could give her a piece of my mind.
“Quiet as a yak.”
“Are you always so abrasive, or do I bring out your finer qualities?”
The new partnership is going to take some getting used to.
Hop along to all the other Weekend Writing Warriors’ sites. There’s a lot to read.

Weekend Writing Warriors – Kiki Earns a Spanking
Welcome! This post is part of the Weekend Writing Warriors blog hop. The following is a small segment of my first spanking romance novella, Kiki’s Millionaire (blurb and extended excerpt available from this link). It was published in 2010 as a serial, and later as a normal book through Blushing Books, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
In this segment, Kiki is out on her first date with the prosperous and popular, Jim Chesterfield. Unfortunately, she’s got a bit of a potty mouth, and Jim has warned her numerous times that it’s a lousy habit to be in. He’s even threatened a spanking. At dinner, Kiki makes something of a spectacle of herself.
“You’re acting like a spoiled little girl.”
“You’re acting like a fucking pompous jackass.”
His frown deepened and he slid out of the booth, dragging her by the arm. “You deserve a spanking. Into the car. Now.”
“You wouldn’t dare,” she hissed.
“Oh, but I do dare.”
Of course, she’ll be given the choice of a spanking or a ride home with no further contact. Jim is hunky, rich, and a truly nice guy. Which do you think she’ll choose?

New Free BDSM Short Story – Ross: Unpredictable
Hello, everyone. I’m publishing a new BDSM short story today. It tells the tale of Ross Adler, the prickly private eye from Master of Two. Ross is a hard man who has lived a hard life. He’s the ultimate bad boy. His BDSM Dominance is a huge influence in his life, often putting him at loggerheads with Kevin Watson, the hero/protagonist in Master of Two and “Kevin: A Man of Discipline” (another BDSM short story on my site). Ross and Kevin must set out on a mission together to rescue one of Kevin’s submissives, and they get along like oil and water.
Ross’s story is for adults only, like any of my BDSM stories here. The purpose of the stories is to entice you to buy their adventure book (Master of Two). I hope you want to know more about these characters, their relationships, and their time together.
This particular short story was first made available to subscribers to my newsletter/blog. They’ve had a month to enjoy the story before I published it here for the general public. If you’d like such an advantage, and the opportunity to win prizes for subscribers only (including free books on occasion), sign up —->.
And now I leave you with, “Ross: Unpredictable.”

Guest: Have you read about Callie Mae and the Marine?
Hello and welcome to my little place in the interwebs. Today, I’d like to introduce you to a new book by Stevie MacFarlane, Callie Mae and the Marine. Stevie is an established writer with a history of success in her field. Callie Mae and the Marine is a time travel story, something in which Stevie is well versed. So come to nineteenth century Kansas and meet Callie Mae and her Marine, Morgan.
To my delight, Stevie answered a personal question for me for this guest appearance.
Patricia: If you had the opportunity to live one year of your life over again, which year would you choose?
Stevie: I would pick 1997. My mom was still alive and in remission from her cancer. My first two grandchildren were here, a girl and a boy and life was wonderful. I think that was the happiest time in my life.
Thank you for that sweet memory, Stevie.
Here’s the summary of Callie Mae and the Marine:
After he is wounded during his final tour of duty with the Marines, Morgan Whittaker returns home to a life in shambles. Knowing that their marriage is beyond repair, his wife uses her connections as a scientist at a top-secret government lab to offer Morgan an opportunity to start over in not only a new place, but a new time as well. Believing that he has nothing to lose, Morgan agrees, and soon enough he finds himself walking the dusty streets of a small Kansas town in the year 1880.
It is there that Morgan meets Miss Callie Mae Walker, the feisty preacher’s daughter who has taken it upon herself to run the local saloon, much to the consternation of her father and the townsfolk. Callie Mae is beautiful, sassy, and in desperate need of a firm hand applied to her bare bottom. Morgan decides that he might just be the man for the job, and before long he takes the little hellcat over his knee for a sound spanking.
Callie Mae is not one to be tamed easily, and his chastisement provokes her to take ever greater risks with her safety at the saloon. But Morgan is no longer the all-but-broken shell of a man he left behind in the twenty-first century. In this time and place, he is the tough, bold fighting man he once was, and he’ll be damned if the girl he loves is going to get herself killed because she didn’t have her backside heated properly.
Publisher’s Note: Callie Mae and the Marine is an erotic romance novel that contains spankings, sexual scenes, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book. Also note that this book was previously published under the title In This Lifetime: Morgan’s Journey.
And an excerpt!
“Where in hell’s creation have you been all these years? We all thought you were dead, killed in the Indian wars,” he continued, reaching out to shake Morgan’s hand before pulling him into a man hug and pounding his back. “And what in tarnation are you on foot for? Get throwed?”
“Um, yeah,” Morgan replied. Apparently this man knew him, although how that could be possible he didn’t know. Cara told him he was taking a chance going to rural Kansas where his ancestors had settled back in the 1800’s. It appeared she was right, as he obviously looked enough like his predecessor to be mistaken for him.
“Well come on,” the man said, heading toward the wagon. “Never thought I’d live to see the day you got pitched off your own nag,” he chuckled, shaking his head. “You want I should try and find your horse? I guess that fightin’ took more out of you than is right.”
“I guess so,” Morgan agreed, climbing up on the seat and looking around at the countryside. “No, he was an ornery old cuss anyway, so good riddance to him.” Acres and acres of wheat, as far as the eye could see, waved gently in the breeze. He hoped the man would continue to carry the conversation because frankly, he was almost speechless.
“I’ll take you out to the homestead,” the blond haired man beside him said, giving the reins a snap that set the horses in motion, “but I better stop at the house on our way or Missy will never forgive me. That little sister of yours is sweet as a honeycomb until she gets a bee in her bonnet, then watch out. We been married nigh on three years now and I’ve only had to take a hand to her a few times, but let me tell you that woman can hold a grudge like no female I ever met. Best not to rile her up if I can help it,” he said, grinning.
“You hit my sister?” Morgan asked, feeling strangely angry despite the fact that he had no idea who ‘Missy’ was.
“Hell no! You know me better than that, Morg; I just tan her hide when she gets out of hand. Nothin’ you wouldn’t a done yourself if you’d been around. If anyone knows what kind of trouble that gal can get into, it oughta be you.”
Morgan nodded and digested this information. So, he had a sister. Well the other Morgan Whittaker did, and lord knew where he was. Maybe he was dead. This man was married to Missy, his sister, and apparently it was permissible to spank your wife. A tiny smile tilted the corner of his mouth.

Weekend Writing Warriors – The First Meeting: Are You A Geek?
Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors on Patricia Green Books. I have a large back list of books (over 20). Since I won’t have a new release until April, I thought I’d share something from one of my books from earlier in my career, Kiki’s Millionaire (blurb and extended excerpt here). You read that right, “Millionaire,” not “Billionaire.” Hey, we all need to start somewhere.
In this segment, Kiki and Jim meet for the first time. They’re in a coffee shop and Kiki is having a serious problem with her laptop. Jim approaches, offering to help.
“Are you with Geek Squad or something?”
“Something like that. My name is Jim Chesterfield.” He said it like she ought to know him, so she looked at him for a moment, narrowing her eyes as she thought.
“Jim Chesterfield…James Chesterfield? The James Chesterfield?”
A slightly embarrassed look washed over his face, followed by a playful grin. “That’s what my mother calls me.”
I hope you enjoyed this little piece of Kiki’s Millionaire. The book can be found at these retailers:
Blushing Books, Amazon.com
, and Barnes & Noble.
Thank you for joining me here today. Hop along to the other Weekend Writing Warriors and see what they have to offer. There’s something for everyone!
