D.C. Shaftoe is a Speech-Language Pathologist, primarily working with children with autism and their families. On those days, she spends a lot of time running, playing with trains, and sitting in kiddie chairs. In 2010, as her children reached a new level of independence, she began to write. Shaftoe’s first book was well received, and she has been writing ever since. Shaftoe writes what has been described as a unique blend of thriller, suspense, and romance. She does not shy away from trauma and real-life scenarios though she values a happy ending.

I hope you enjoy Forged in the Jungles of Burma, Assassin’s Trap, Enemy by Association, Reckless Association, Imperfect (also published as Lethal Intentions), and the newest offering, Coffee, Kam

The judges' comments were very encouraging; it seemed they liked the story. They encouraged me to create a new cover for the book and shorten the title. So I've decided to complete another edit and then engage a book design team to see about the cover.(less)

Great story, largely because of the main protagonists and their interaction. I loved the uniqueness of Abigail's characters and how the author maintained that throughout the story while still allowing Abigail to grow.
" Thank you very much. "
