Roh Morgon discovered the magic in stories at an early age, both in books and the ones she made up in her head. As a child growing up in a remote Southern California canyon, she explored the wild hills barefoot with her brothers and rode her horse bareback at top speed. A wicked youth spent hitchhiking across the West and perched on the backs of Harleys eventually gave way to soccer mom duties and full-time college studies—at the same time. In her spare moments, she learned how to herd cattle, swordfight, and plant an arrow or a knife in a target—not necessarily at the same time.

Her years spent in the lofty mountains of Colorado and the stark plains of Wyoming, the red canyons of central Arizona and the rolling hills of California, provide

Hi Tasha,

Thank you for your question and for your interest in my books.

I'm currently working on Seeker: Book III of The Chosen and don't have an exact release date at this time, but it will likely be sometime next year. Once my editor and I set a date, I will notify readers here on Goodreads as well as via social media and my website.

There are two additional novellas set in The Chosen world that are available now. They are The Last Trace and The Games Monsters Play. Both provide backstories on key figures in Watcher and Runner.

And for more about The Chosen, visit my website at http://www.rohmorgon.com

The Games Monsters Play, like The Last Trace, provides backstory on minor characters from the novel series.

The Games Monsters Play originally appeared in High Stakes: A Vampire Anthology. This stand-alone edition features new scenes.

And, after many delays, Runner: Book II of The Chosen, is finally with my editor. :) Projected publishing date is Fall 2017.

~ Last Day of February update

It’s been a while since my last post. Life is . . . complicated. But I thought I’d share news about a few things, including upcoming releases.

First of all, I’m reviving The Chosen Updates newsletter, which has been on hiatus due to demands of my day job. But with the assistance of Deb Carroll, the March 2021 issue will be going out in the next several days. 😊 If you’ve signed up for my mailing list

"Let me be clear...I HATE vampire books....I DETEST vampire books...the last one I read and liked was Salem's Lot when I was in high school...then I read it again and didn't enjoy it...I don't like Ann Rice...I don't like the twilight series...I DON'T" Read more of this review »

“Fantasy is the playground of the mind.
Play hard.
Play often.
Read.”

“Jimmy, look at it realistically. You can't couple a minimum access to food with an expanding population indefinitely. Homo sapiens doesn't seem to be able to cut himself off at the supply end. He's one of the few species that doesn't limit reproduction in the face of dwindling resources. In other words - and up to a point, of course - the less we eat, the more we fuck."

"How to do you account for that?" said Jimmy

"Imagination," said Crake. "Men can imagine their own deaths...human beings hope they can stick their souls into someone else...and live on forever.”
Margaret Atwood, Oryx and Crake

“All it takes,” said Crake, “is the elimination of one generation. One generation of anything. Beetles, trees, microbes, scientists, speakers of French, whatever. Break the link in time between one generation and the next, and it’s game over forever.”
Margaret Atwood , Oryx and Crake

“Every thing's for sale out here. Anything you want. About the only thing you can't buy is my dignity and self-respect, cause those were the first to go. And I gave them away for free. - excerpt from: freefalling”
