I am a 2nd generation German American and a historical novelist. I write books/stories based on my family history. Born and raised in the Big Horn Basin of Wyoming, I graduated from UW with a degree in Design Mktg. I was a professional interior designer ASID for 25 years. Now I WRITE and WRITE! THE TICKET, SEED OF THE VOLGA, FLESH ON THE BONE, and THE TANK COMMANDER---a series of four family saga books. GERMAN YANKEE is the first in a new family saga series to be released in October 2018. I love to write--it is an emotional and psycological release and expression. It is my avenue to preserving my own family heritage and a way for me to leave my mark in this world! My husband and I have four sons, and 9 grandchildren.

The first family saga series begins with THE TICKET, then SEED OF THE VOLGA, followed by FLESH ON THE BONE and TANK COMMANDER. My most recent novel GERMAN YANKEE is the first in a new family saga series, which will be followed with LONG GRASS. I take what I know--family stories--wash it with accurate historical facts and spice it up with my imagination. Each book, each story is amazing to me--their trials and tribulations--resiliency, faith and love. Not all stories are happy nor do they end the way we would like them to, but that is called----'LIFE". These journeys will cause you to reach for the Kleenex box, more than once. Happy reading and let me know what you thought of the book! Thank you.(less)

THE TICKET, SEED OF THE VOLGA, FLESH ON THE BONE, & TANK COMMANDER

These four historical novels make up my first historical family saga series. I would recommend that you read The Ticket and Seed of the Volga before reading the last two books because they are all tied together. GERMAN YANKEE is the first in a new series to be released in October 2018.

“was in the front rank, but didn't fire. I preferred to wait for a good opportunity, when I could take deliberate aim at some individual foe. But when the regiment fired, the Confederates halted and began firing also, and the fronts of both lines were at once shrouded in smoke. I had my gun at a ready, and was trying to peer under the smoke in order to get a sight”
Leander Stillwell, The Story of a Common Soldier of Army Life in the Civil War, 1861-1865
