Dale Hurst started writing when he was 5, completing several stories up until creating his fictional market town of Berylford in 2007 as part of his GCSE English coursework. Inspired by several relationships and stories among his family and friends, he was inspired to create the characters to feature in his debut novel, The Berylford Scandals: Lust & Liberty, which he published in 2018.
