Who wouldn’t love Alabama? For her to turn out so sweet after the life she’s lead is a testament to her spirit. She and Abe meet by chance and although he’s instantly smitten, he patiently draws her out of her shell and she blossoms like a flower. Wh ...more

Isabel has good reason to be mistrustful of cops, or men in general, but after starting a relationship with Linc I found her resistance to anything permanent a little annoying. I get that she was trying to protect her daughter, but continual denial o ...more

Filthy Professor by Lila Younger
Rate this book
Clear rating
The professor isn’t really as filthy as the title implies. Yeah, he seduces one of his students, but she’s more than willing. The story is short and hot, so naturally things move pretty quickly. I would have liked to see them put up a little more of ...more

Protecting Caroline by Susan Stoker
Rate this book
Clear rating
I think what I liked best about Caroline was that she was an ordinary woman who’s easily overlooked. In fact, she points this out to each of the SEALs she was on the plane with, much to their chagrin. But Wolf manages to see the beauty inside of her, ...more

This was a hard book to put down. Sophie is a character who’s easy to love. Because of the blows life has dealt her, it’s hard for her to trust Mason, even after he rescues her when she’s attacked as she tries to help another young woman. The heat be ...more

Rocky Mountain Heat by Vivian Arend

Clear rating
The absolutely best part about this book is that it’s the first in a series. Jaxi is one determined woman and it’s easy to see Blake doesn’t stand a chance when she sets her sights on him, but it’s still lots of fun to see how she actually gets him.

Jilly Coppercorn is one of my favorite characters and in this book we learn about her early life, including how she got her name. Her past is heartbreaking, as we’ve known it would be, but still not without hope. And just as she’s finding her place i ...more

Crow Girls (Newford)
by Charles de Lint (Goodreads Author)

The crow girls are without a doubt two of Charles de Lint’s most unforgettable characters. They’re not twins, or even blood sisters. They’re sisters of the heart and where you find one you can be sure the other isn’t far behind. They’re two old/wise ...more

Ann My dad was in the army, too -- so that kind of makes sense. My mother was born in Alliston, too, and I still have lots of relatives there...though I haven't been there in a number of years...so has your book been published (love the cover) or are you still working on it? Keep me updated...it's very exciting
