There's a saying that what you resist persists. Do you doubt it?

#AmReading: Crime Thriller A Lovely Murder by Lori Ericson
#AmReading is a big hashtag we avid readers use. We all like to know what others are reading, and it's fun to look over someone's shoulder, so to speak, to find out what has their interest right now. I read quite a bit, and people often ask me what I'm reading, so I figured I'd start sharing it here on WriteOnPurpose.com in a new subcategory under Blissful Life called #AmReading.
One of my current reads is a crime thriller called A Lovely Murder by Lori Ericson. I will be reviewing this book here on this site soon, so watch for that. I love suspense, cozy mysteries, and thrillers (among other genres), so this book caught my interest.
This book is the second in a series, and I have NOT read the first. That isn't bothering me at all as I read. I don't feel I can't understand this book because of not having read A Lovely County.

Lori Ericson
Lori Ericson was raised in her family-owned cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She earned a journalism and English degree from the University of Arkansas, and then spent nearly twenty years as a newspaper reporter winning a number of journalism awards from the Arkansas Press Association and the Associated Press, and a national award from the Press Women of America, all under the byline Lori Harrison-Stone. Live the Plan with Me: Picking a Planner Theme for the Week
A few months ago, I never knew I would enjoy using a paper planner so much. It's because I've trned it into a playground with useful ifo and plans, not a ruthless task-master. Here's a video in which I share some ideas for picking a weekly planner theme.
This month, so far I've been using free planner printables from Victoria Thatcher VictoriaThatcher.com. You can print these on sticker paper or regular paper that you stick down. This month, I've used her free printable pages Cinderella, Cats, and Beauty and the Beast.
I don't always use sticker printables, but this has been fun. Watch and see what I do next week.

Ronda’s March Writing Projects Update
The first Tuesday of each month, I'm sharing an update on my writing projects so you get a sense of what is going on. It will include any funny bits that happened along the way too.
And I'm aware it's FRIDAY as I write this. Better late than never, right? I always say it's not about perfection, and I'm DEFINITELY imperfect!
I'll shot for the right day next month.
And have I mentioned lately that I SUCK at time?
Here are my updates.
101 Quick Time-Saving hacks
I'm working on 101 quick hacks for authors. Some of my writer friends want me to hurry and funish, and DI agree. I intend to get my first draft done this month.
I was sharing a couple of the calendar tips with a non-writer friend , because she was frustrated with her current attempt at a system. "I definitely need your book, even though it's for writers. You've got some great hacks.
Cool. Maybe I'll put out the author edition and then ones tweaked for other audiences. We'll see. Definitely want to finish the author version this month.
paranormal Suspense
I pitched my paranormal suspense to an editor this month - no, last month - so it's the usual...
Hurry up and wait.
And meanwhile, look for other publishing options. So much to do...so little time. But I try.
Oh, and since I didn't share this yet, after 13 months, the agent to whom I pitched it sent a 1-sentence rejection. "I cannot represent this book." No feedback. Nothing else. I think she rejected because she's a die-hard fundamentalist Christian and this book, while there are demons and such, is NOT.
Ah well. Onward.
So at this moment, I have 3 publishers looking at it.
I will probably change the name. So far, it ahs been They All Died Smiling. I'll let you know and probably ask you for title help.
Fantasy Suspense
This book used to be Rue the Day. I did a massive overhaul and changed the name to Deadly Mist. I've started the sequel, which is Instant Adept.
Two publishers have Mists to look at right now. I need to start seeking out more places for both these books. On my to-do list this month.
My golden retriever guide dog is snoring at my feet. So cute!

Save Your Vision Month: Best Selling Blind Author Ronda Del Boccio, Leader Dog Jemma Appearing at Lions Club Chili Supper Fundraser
March is Save Your Vision Month. Lions Clubs around the world are well known for providing assistance to those needing eyeglasses, eye surgeries, recycling of used glasses, Leader Dogs, and much more, for over 75 years.
In order to support vision programs in the community, each year, the Lions Club of Kimberling City, Missouri, hosts a Chili Supper Fundraiser. Club members prepare and donate scrumptious vats of homemade chili and a host of decadent desserts.
All proceeds go straight back into the community. The club supports numerous charities, such as food banks, a scholarship, recycling, hearing and vision programs.

Regarding assistance for the blind and visually impaired alone, each month, this one Lions Club collects and delivers over 100 pairs of glasses for redistribution, provides new eyeglasses to needy community members, and supports various national and global services, including Saving Sight, Leader Dogs for the Blind, and Mid-South Vision Center (Columbia, Missouri facility). The club sponsored blind author and speaker Ronda Del Boccio to get her guide dog, Leader Dog Jemma, in 2015.
Below is a picture of Ronda and Jemma at last year's Chili Supper Fundraiser, with Jemma giving her paw.
Ronda will be visiting with attendees of the Chili Supper Fundraiser and providing information and assistance to anyone needing help with eyeglasses, a guide dog, vision services, or information about other Lions Club programs.
The Chili Supper Fundraiser takes place Tuesday, March 21 from 4:30-7PM at the Kimberling Area Senior Center, which is located at 63 Kimberling Blvd in Kimberling City, MO. Donation for all the chili, hot dogs and desserts you care to eat is $7 at the door or $6 in advance from a Lions Club Member.

Fun Andy LoRusso Sing and Cook Italian Expanded Edition GoFundMe Launch
Before I tell you about a book launch, I want to tell you the story of how I met and got to know The Singing Chef, Andy LoRusso. It's a cool story because of what Andy brings to the world with his celebrity chef and bestselling author status.
Andy LoRusso, the Singing Chef, heard me sing before we ever officially met. He presented at a book conference, one of an all-star line-up of authors who have sold more than a million copies of their books.

I saw him present over a decade ago, and I still remember his engaging presentation. Andy didn't just talk about his book. He prepared food, sang, and invited the audience to sing with him. His is the most memorable ever author presentation, because it engaged all the senses, and because I got to SING!
Back then, I had a couple of short stories published and one book, I'll Push You Steer.
We had an opportunity to get better acquainted in the hotel lobby that night. A few of us didn't love the band they'd hired, so we wandered into the lobby. I sat with him and a couple other million-book=selling-authors for a couple of hours. No autographs. No microphones. Just human connection.
Happy Heart
Andy LoRusso has a mission to help everyone have a happy heart and ad happy home. He encourages cooking to be a happy event, accompanied by laughter, singing, and fellowship. I love this message.

Quick Craft: Handmade Share the Love Card
Whether you're crafty or not, a card maker or not, I KNOW you can make this adorable "Share the Love Card in about 2 minutes flat.
The idea behind this handmade card is that the front is covered in stockers that the recipient can simply pull off and use on cards, in planners, etc.
Here's a photo.
You can use a blank card or some card stock. This card is standard A2 size, which is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
Get stickers that you can cut to fit the card. Leave them on the backing so that the card receiver can peel them off to use them on cards, envelopes, lanners, etc.
