superhappy:

So I decided it’s about time I got back on the videogame development track. which I started on with Princess Panic many years ago… and have since wandered away from, thanks to an ADD-addled brain.

Basically the plan this time is, rather than a full-length animated 2d RPG that would require a huge staff and million of dollars, mayyybe it would be more sensible for my first game ever to be a fairly simple arcade platformer of which I could develop an alpha version on my own.

I spent a few days workin on the sprite design of the main character and posted my progress to twitter, the goal being to take my “normal” comic style and push it into something more geometric.

The rest of my work on this will be mostly kept private, but of course this is just the sort of thing Patreon is made for, so yeah, if you’d like to see a lot more of this in the coming months or so, join on up. You’ll get updates if you backed the Dungeon Panic kickstarter as well.

Otherwise, there’ll be tumblr posts about it every once in a while, and the next one will be when I’m far enough along that I can say, with conviction, that I will finish it!

Her name’s Polly, by the way. Yes, there was a Slipshine comic about her recently. Yes, it was based on the game idea, and now I actually want to make the game.

Minneapolis Spring ComicCon was a good time. Thanks everyone who came and bought books! Here’s some commissions I did while I was there.

I almost forgot how much fun it is to do requests (and draw in general) so I’ll have to do something about that…

A PLEA: READ ME COMIC?

beesmygod:

beesmygod:

hmmm so by tomorrow morning there will be a 229 page 4 part coherent and completed story arc in my webcomic that you can read and enjoy the entirety of with no waiting around so why not give reading it a try if you havent yet…

its about two “paranormal exterminators” who get hired to kill ghosts, run strange errands and generally make the city they live in a worse place to live. maxine is a woman who makes extraordinarily bad decisions due to persistent insomnia and her odd upbringing by her wild grandmother and is enabled by her useless dope boyfriend jack. the other major characters introduced in this chapter include: john wayne qiao (their kindly and very large downstairs neighbor in an office building-turned restaurant/2 unit apartment), victoria blackwell (an obnoxiously wealthy woman with a peculiar collection) and lucy who is your best friend.

the art. is rough. but there are some jokes you will probably like. i like to write jokes so if it made you chuckle thats really all i could ask for and it would make me very happy. give it a look see…you might enjoy…

content warning for murder, weird violence against children (no csa), blood, death? heres a taste:

remember…thats http://www.aghoststorycomic.com/ ….try it…for your health

im going to reblog this huge post one more time because i love attention. and also just bc im still basking in post-comic relief
