Speaking of your T-shirts as someone was just then for some reason.
Is there any possible chance in heaven or earth that the MANLY shirt could ever be re-printed. I really want one. I've always really, really wanted one and I recently lost a bunch o
I hate to be the bearer of bad new once again, but that's not very likely. As was probably made rather apparent from that one post, I have never liked selling shirts. Moreover, I have never had any luck with them. I think people may have been able to sense how unenthusiastic I always was about it.
The only shirt of mine I ever really liked was the Snail shirt, because he is my favorite creation ever. I still have quite a few of those left and will probably open a site for it somewhere so I can expend that inventory before moving.
Hey, did you ever get Animal Crossing on the Wii? I need some pears!
I have Animal Crossing for the Wii but I stopped playing it pretty quickly.
The only thing I really liked about it was the built-in screencap-to-SD card ability it had, which I think every videogame in the world should have.

Since I answered that one question about why cartoonists hate Jim Davis, a couple people have posted questions mentioning that Gafrield used to be good and, really now.
That up there? It is the very first Garfield comic. Look at it. It's a cat, and he wants to be fed by his owner. THAT IS SOME COMEDY GOLD RIGHT THERE.
I understand, though. When something as lame and calculated exists, people tend to assume there was some kind of "early indie year" the comic must have had where the artist really did care and wanted to tell a good, unique story, but no. Not with Garfield, not with Jim Davis. Davis sort of tried for a month or so by submitting a comic about a gnat to the syndicates, and was told by everyone how unmarketable a comic about bugs was. He took the advice to heart and ran with it.
Paws, Inc, the company devoted solely to making Garfield dolls, shirts, and mugs, was founded less than three years after the comic began. It's not well-documented when Jim Davis stopped working on the comic himself, but I'm willing to bet it was somewhere around this time. He knew what he was doing from the start. This cat was created to sell greeting cards and toys.
I guess it comes back to "why HATE this? Yes, Davis is a businessman and he's good at it. Is there anything wrong with it?" And I dunno… is it really that odd to just find this kind of thing repugnant? Corporate marketing masquerading as a creative work? And moreover, the example this sets for other cartoonists?
The whole syndicated comic model has more or less taught artists that they shouldn't expect much payback solely from the work they put into their comic, and that it's necessary to expand into merchandising if they want to get anywhere. And look how many webcartoonists out there give their comic away for free and make almost all their money from lame-ass T-shirts…
Do you have a crush on someone? The comics you've been posting lately make it seem like you do.
What? What do you mean? I mean… no. Of course not! Shut up!
What made you decide to go into webcomics? I mean, you could probably have become an at least somewhat successful comic book artist.
It's nice of you to say that, but I don't know if that's really true. Due to numerous problems on my part I have been in a constant struggle with webcomics for years, and those problems would hold me back more with print, since being in print comics means you'd need either the respect and support of at least one publisher or enough of a following to be able to self-publish without losing your house.
Yes, it is safe to say that without the internet I would have died in a gutter by now, NO EXAGGERATION
did miki and her sister ever make it out of that bank vault???
Their armor regenerates after a while, so they would have been able to bust out eventually.
How much money would I have to pay for a download of "Lucy's Erotic Adventure"? I could go as high as $500. That's about how nostalgic I'm feeling.
Are you sure you'd want to do that? I mean, I would accept that offer, but think about it first!
