Sup, I preorderd the standard edition yesterday, but i was wondering about the figurine that you are making for the special edition. if i saw how awesome its turning out and realize the mistake of not getting the specail edition, would i be able to buy it

Incidentally, so many of the orders so far have been Special Edition orders that a full run of the figurine is guaranteed now. Even if the worst-case scenario happens and no one orders anymore books, and I have to cancel and issue refunds for them, the figurines will still be made and sent! I am very happy about this!

So, um... the Intuos I tablet art. The marker drawing that had "issues" with possibly smearing, or not being permanent... How's that workin out? Resolved?

I went over the tablet with warm water and a sponge and the result was a really faded version of the brush marker inks. So I'm going over that with a Sharpie, and it's turning out pretty good, actually.

It's still half-finished though, and there's not much incentive to continue if no one's going to bid on the auction. I'll give that thing a couple more days, but it's looking like I may have to rethink that whole "Super Special Edition" deal.

Is 200 preorders the limit, or threshold?

Somewhere in the middle. I'll continue taking preorders until the books are published in June, whether it passes 200 or not. The actual threshold for printing the books is a secret, but at this point I'm pretty sure we'll reach it :)

mebbe i should ask here? if we have previously ordered stuff (books, shirts) from girly, any chance of getting the books a bit cheaper? inside and outside of us? lastly: best moment at staple?

Yeas, this would also be a good place to say sorry to those who already got the first two books. I have also been a victim of this, having bought volume 1 of Dr. Katz and then seeing the Complete Collection come out later.

As I imagine was the case with the Dr. Katz guys, I considered the options, but anything aside from just selling a full set would have been a bit time-consuming and awkward :|

If you are sad about this, leave a note with your order and I will include something extra in the order. I dunno what it will be (I'm trying not to think too far ahead), but it will surely be something special!
