With the nature of this year’s gag, it’s easy to walk away with the impression that I’m making a mockery of kids who are just learning how to draw–many of whom might be fans of this comic! For those of you struggling with insecurity about your art, I have a secret: all of the “Kukobu Quest” artwork you see is 100% genuine stuff I drew about ten years ago. Even most of the writing was copied straight from my 2004 Livejournal entries.
If anything, I hope that “Kukobu Quest” will encourage artists who fear that they may never become “good enough” to bring their dreams to life. Regardless of your skill level, you will get better as long as you work hard and keep an open mind. The road to improvement never ends, and that can be scary, but if you find yourself worrying that your artistic pursuits are a waste of time, I hope you’ll think of Kukobu. He’s cheering for you in his own, weird way.

So before ECCC, I whacked my drawin’ finger on a ceiling...
So before ECCC, I whacked my drawin’ finger on a ceiling fan. I’m sure I didn’t break it, but it’s still kinda throbbing. So I decided to go ahead and bandage it up, just to be on the safe side.
So this tumblr will be even more chicken-scratchy than usual for a couple days.

BA-BLAM! Good ole Josh Lesnick is finally collecting his latest webcomic You Suck into print volumes! Check out his Kickstarter if you’re interesting in grabbing a copy.
On a side note, I honestly think this is Josh’s best work yet. It combines everything he’s learned from over a decade of drawing comics for the web. You Suck is funny, with charming characters and sexy situations. I highly recommend giving it a read if you haven’t already!

I posted this april fool’s comic in the Girly site back in 2005. Shortly after, I learned there was, in fact, a TV series in Canada with this exact name, that was airing at the time.
Seriously, what are the fucking odds.

Every You Suck comic thus far, and every bonus Slipshine comic, all together in one fairly large 11”x11” book.
As yet, the Kickstarter page does not have a video, but it will be added sometime next week. I am considering filming it during Emerald City.
But you, the followers of this Tumblr, probably don’t need some video to convince you. Support the comic! Support sex-positive comics! Support You Suck! The Kickstarter is right here!
Incidentally, I’ll be at artists alley table CC-12 at ECCC, for those wondering.
