Submissions
Hey there, folks!
Here at Slipshine, we’re currently ramping up production and readying to open submissions for the rest of the month.
Important details! We’re looking to hire a couple of part and/or full time people, depending on their availability and skill level.
Comics on Slipshine are typically the standard comic page dimension (6x9ish) and stories are in sets of 10-12 pages. The standard process is for new applicants to submit one short story at first, with the potential to do more stories or a long-form story if their comic does well enough. If you do get chosen to be a continuing artist, the update schedule would be every 2-3 months.
As for samples to submit to us, we’re essentially looking for examples of sequential work, and while completed stories would be preferred o’ course, it’s not completely necessary. So long as you have comic pages to show rather than just a portfolio full of pinups.
Also highly recommended for submissions to include nudity in some way or form, so we can see what anatomy chops ya got.
Thus, the submission could include a completed smutty comic, or a non-smut comic and a some artistic nudes, or some such combination.
As for the type of content we’re looking for,
For content, the primary thing to keep in mind is that Slipshine is sex-positive. Bearing that in mind, we publish all sorts of stuff here… Well, not furry comics. If you would like to put animal people in your story, keep it at “catgirl”-level or below. Submissions can eb in color or B/W, we leave that up to the artist.
We are only looking for comic submissions at this time, and not prose, pinups, or writers looking for artists/vice-versa.
Please include a your submission package as a link or attachment, and optionally a link to your resume or portfoilio, to: slipshinesubmissions@gmail.com.
This email is being used for submission review only, and any questions may be directed to Slipshine’s ask box!
Submission deadline is June 30! Get crackin!
oh hey
how do you feel about the fact that people who haven't read the books reduce Ramona to the posterchild for the Manic Pixie Dream Girl trope? (even though there's much more to her character than that) Was she supposed to be parodying/deconstructing it?
i don’t really care what people who haven’t read my books think about my characters…….

It’s go time! I’m pleased to announce the first 9 pages of Tove are online, starting here! In case you don’t know, Tove is my thinly-veiled excuse to draw teenage girls floating in space, forever.
Naturally, I must thank Jojo and from Hiveworks for welcoming me into the swarm. And of course thanks to Erin for putting the site together. These guys have already helped me out big time and I’m pleased to be working with them!
Please enjoy the comic! I’ll be posting new pages every Monday and Wednesday from now until oblivion, or at least until the comic ends. Thank you!
