New book still in progress

The new book is out to reviewers. Two have finished their reviews. Once I have the third, it'll take a week or two to complete the edits. Then comes the publishing process.
This new novel is long...about 400 pages. Both reviews received have said that it was a page-turner, especially after page 150.

New book almost done

Novel seven in the Harley Fremont series is almost completed. All chapters, except the final, are written. It's already more than 300 pages in length. Whew. The next step will be sending it out to three reviewers for their comments. That should take a month for their reviews, with vacations underway right now for two of the three reviewers. I always enjoy their comments on the first draft. They often challenge me to rethink portions of the original work. It generally takes me two to three weeks to re-work the novel. I hope you are looking forward to reading it. Harley and Gemma are almost ready to consider their next adventure.

Goodreads Giveaway

Arizona Kaleidoscope is now listed as a Goodreads Giveaway. Be sure you try for one of ten free, signed copies of the paperback.

Research is underway for the next novel in the series. Topics I have researched include Superfund sites, goblins, and trails that connect the two.

Waiting for new book?

Hope you are looking forward to the the next installment of the Harley Fremont novel series. It's coming along. I'd say it's about two-thirds written. It's been slow-going because I keep changing my mind. I have an outline, and I've mostly followed it. However, there have been places where I've gone "off-script." No problem with that, right? Except, then I needed to go back, and be sure it still tracked with portions I'd, already written and considered "finished." Of course, nothing is finished until the reviewers have had their say. I'm still shooting for a Spring publication. Until then, I hope you are finding wonderful books to keep you entertained.

Buckling down

Really hitting the writing stages now. It's fun to dig in. After all the research was in place, it made it easier to start writing and not need to stop and look up various topics. I'd guess though that other authors have a quite different process. We each have to do what works for us. The only unknown in the newest novel is which new stories I want to share about Harley and Gemma. If you're reading this and want to know something specific, then let me know. I'll do my best to address it somewhere along the way in this book. Thanks for following me!
