So to research line on the mid-Oregon coastline, I subscribed to one of the small town's newspapers, watched such targeted videos as "whale-watching on the Oregon coast," and read a lot of travel guides. After a few years of writing the series, I was invited to Lincoln City, Oregon. The library director said he thought I lived in Oregon. I found that to be quite the compliment! :-) But it was great to finally get to visit "where Marcy lives" and I hope to go back someday.(less)
