I was born in Denver, Colorado, and currently live near Saint Louis, Missouri. A salesman by day, his true passion is spending time with his family—including his wife, seven children, eight grandchildren and his pets.

I have been greatly influenced by a few authors that have helped me shape my style and interests as an author. They include Dr. Suess, Shel Silverstein, Ogden Nash, James Thurber, and Walt Kelly.

I also have to thank my father for my love of words and word play. He was a junior high school teacher of reading, remedial reading and English. I grew up playing word games with my family on long car trips, etc.

She has made such incredible progress from when we first got her- from being afraid of everything to being highly socialized and happy. Her change was so striking that I wanted to write about it to encourage people to adopt shelter pets. She also has some funny behaviors and silly nicknames which I thought would be fun to share for children.(less)

Book Release!

My latest book, "There's a Pooker on My Pillow" has officially been released! I am so excited! I truly hope children will enjoy it and that it will inspire people to adopt shelter pets.
Our family has had wonderful experiences adopting shelter pets and given the number of animals in shelters it's critically important for people to adopt vs. buying from pet stores. I am thoroughly convinced that... Read more of this blog post »
