Have you ever wanted that perfect position? Scott McPherson, MD, has found just that. He is currently teaching Family Medicine Residents, having practiced Family Medicine for over 30 years. He has opportunities to teach, write his novels, play his trombone, and enjoy time with his wife. A father of 5, he gets to enjoy grandchildren as well. What could be better? Retirement? Hardly—he loves his life and hopes to write much more.

Retired from the U.S. Air Force, Dr. McPherson calls on his experiences he has had both in the military and as a missionary. He is the author of four published novels. I’ve been off the “grid” for a while because I have recently changed jobs.  I am currently a teacher of family medicine.  Just a few short months ago I was in a busy practice seeing about 100 patients a week.  Now I work with family practice residents and medical students to help them learn what they need to know when they go into the “world” to practice medicine.
