“The mind is the master of the physical world. The physical isn’t observed by the mind—it’s actually dependent on the mind. It’s more correct to say that the physical world is also mind. Remove or transform the mind, and the physical world has no independent existence. When you know the truth about reality, you don’t have to fear anything in the physical world.”

Thanks very much, Vinaya! I hope to have it available next month. I'm really looking forward to hearing how some Indians respond to it. One of the nations is a combination of ancient Greek, Roman, and Middle Eastern cultures; they all have Italian names, though. They have a pantheon of ten gods, a la ancient Greece.
The other is sort of like a Buddhist India; their powers come from a non-theistic approach to meditation. They've got names like Narayani, Rao, Devak, and Indrajit :-)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope to have a full version of my novel ready for beta readers some time before the end of January. I have a novella-length intro available now (carved out of material from the novel), but if you're interested in reading the larger version you could also just wait for that.
