I have two short stories due for publication in anthologies this year (from Corpus Press and Burdizzo Books). I also have a publisher interested in bringing out a collection of my short horror stories. I just need to write the final one, which I hope to do in the next couple of months.

After that, I'll be focusing on the novella I've been working on for a wee while now. It's about halfway done after being worked on for a couple of years. If I can finish it this year, I'll be very pleased. :)(less)

The new anthology from Corpus Press collects seven Halloween-themed stories from eight macabre-minded authors, including myself.

My contribution, 'Chocolate Covered Eyeball', is a tale of Halloween homecomings, childhood indiscretions and... Read more of this blog post »

I'm not going to say a huge amount about Graveyard Love. It has a great premise and a real sense of personality. I've read a lot of pulp fiction thrillers from the 40s/50s and this did remind me of them big time, in both good and bad ways (pulp ficti ...more

“The girl slid into the back seat of the town car, tugging at the hem of her dress like she was afraid she might leave a stain on the upholstery.”
John McNee, Grudge Punk

“Growing up, imagination gave way to cynicism. Ignorance was traded in for world weariness. Fears remained, but they were the dull, suburban fears of illness, destitution, and death. The visceral terror of the unknown- of unseen things lurking under the bed or creeping out of the cupboard- became a fuzzy memory.”
John McNee, Prince of Nightmares
