In more than three decades as a professional writer, Cheryl has explored subjects ranging from architecture to zoning, daycare to seniors, pioneers of the past to the next big thing. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she operates Words that Sing, a multi-faceted freelance writing and editing enterprise that (at its best) uses story to bring ideas alive.
Recent projects have drawn Cheryl into multi-disciplinary teams to create books and other works that illuminate our heritage. Examples include a book celebrating the 100th anniversary of Field Law, video scripts tracing the human and geological history of Strathcona County and a display at the Alberta Legislature highlighting early women architects.
