Missy Welsh stares into space a lot, has conversations with cats, takes notes while people-watching, records conversations (not the ones with cats), named her laptop Norbert and her phone Pushkin, has backups of her backups’ backups, faints at the sight of a misused semi-colon, and will often ask socially unacceptable questions of strangers. Basically, she’s a writer.

Missy Welsh is currently not accepting new questions.

Because of that, I may not hear from them for a few months. IF they accept it, it'll be a few months (at least) before it could be published. The new book will come out later this year, but I just don't know when.(less)

Hi, Jinx! Sorry for the delay in answering your question.

I don't like how their story ended, and during this rewrite I do plan to expand into their time at college. Because of new plot points I've added, they'll have a lot of things to cope with after they drive away to their new lives together.(less)

EVERY TIME A BELL RINGS (Excerpt) (Gay & Lesbian)
1 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:33PM
Description: Brian dropped everything last year when his mother became ill so he could take care of her until the day she died. People he thought were friends didn’t stick with him and he’s somehow become kind of a recluse without meaning to be. Only Mike, his best friend since they were kids, has stuck by him and is now saving him from homelessness after a fire destroys Brian’s apartment building days before Christmas. Though Mike has to go down South for the holiday, Brian stays in Mike’s apartment with his slightly singed kitten Oreo. Brian’s only goal is to set his affairs back in order before everything shuts down for the holidays and then make it through those holidays in one piece. He’s lost so much–his only real possession is a photo album of his mom that he risked death to save from the fire–and he’s feeling lost and very alone…until Mike, his hot neighbor Trent, and even little Oreo conspire to give Brian the best Christmas possible and a future that looks a lot brighter.
TAKE THE SHOT (Excerpt) (Romance)
1 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:30PM
Description: Carrie Trent has just become the photographer for a gay porn film company where committed couple Cal and Scotty are the stars -- the stars of the company and of every fantasy Carrie has. And now she has to be on-set to photograph them while they have sex in a multitude of different moods and positions. It’s driving her absolutely insane. She loves them, she really does, but her heart just can’t take being on the outside looking in. Carrie can’t quit, though, because the loan shark she thought was an old family friend wants his money right damn now and she just doesn’t have it. Now her beautiful, sexy men are making her wonder if they’re really gay or maybe a little bit, just-for-her bi, and her financial troubles are pushing her down a really dangerous road. She's not good at asking for help, but she's not going to get out of her money mess on her own. Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, exhibitionism, male/male sexual practices, menage (m/m/f), voyeurism.

Missy’s Recent Updates

“Remember how it felt yesterday? What you saw me do?” I snorted and grinned. “Man, do I ever. I remembered twice last night and again this morning.”
Missy Welsh, My Summer of Wes

“It's crazy what you can talk yourself out of when you're scared and into when you're not.”
Missy Welsh, My Summer of Wes

“He settled in beside me, and I curled into him. Cocooned in Wes. God, it felt so good. “Thank you,” I whispered. “I’ve never felt so amazing.”

“I wanted you in my life from the beginning, Mal. Any way I could have you.” He snuggled me closer. “Even if it meant just as friends.”

I couldn’t help snorting. “Thank God that’s not the case.”

He chuckled and gave me a squeeze. “Amen, my friend.”
Missy Welsh, My Summer of Wes

“There's nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein.”
Ernest Hemingway

“We’re sick of hearing people say, “That band is so gay,” or “Those guys are fags.” Gay is not a synonym for shitty. If you wanna say something’s shitty, say it’s shitty. Stop being such homophobic assholes.”
Pete Wentz

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Rob Siltanen

“Bottom line is, even if you see 'em coming, you're not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So what are we, helpless? Puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are.”
Joss Whedon

“The Voice

There is a voice inside of you
That whispers all day long,
"I feel this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong."
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
Or wise man can decide
What's right for you--just listen to
The voice that speaks inside.”
Shel Silverstein
