Missy Welsh stares into space a lot, has conversations with cats, takes notes while people-watching, records conversations (not the ones with cats), named her laptop Norbert and her phone Pushkin, has backups of her backups’ backups, faints at the sight of a misused semi-colon, and will often ask socially unacceptable questions of strangers. Basically, she’s a writer.

Missy Welsh is currently not accepting new questions.

Because of that, I may not hear from them for a few months. IF they accept it, it'll be a few months (at least) before it could be published. The new book will come out later this year, but I just don't know when.(less)

Hi, Jinx! Sorry for the delay in answering your question.

I don't like how their story ended, and during this rewrite I do plan to expand into their time at college. Because of new plot points I've added, they'll have a lot of things to cope with after they drive away to their new lives together.(less)

“Remember how it felt yesterday? What you saw me do?” I snorted and grinned. “Man, do I ever. I remembered twice last night and again this morning.”
Missy Welsh, My Summer of Wes

“It's crazy what you can talk yourself out of when you're scared and into when you're not.”
Missy Welsh, My Summer of Wes

“He settled in beside me, and I curled into him. Cocooned in Wes. God, it felt so good. “Thank you,” I whispered. “I’ve never felt so amazing.”

“I wanted you in my life from the beginning, Mal. Any way I could have you.” He snuggled me closer. “Even if it meant just as friends.”

I couldn’t help snorting. “Thank God that’s not the case.”

He chuckled and gave me a squeeze. “Amen, my friend.”

Queereaders: Hi from a new member 15 32 Oct 25, 2010 03:10PM
“There's nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and open a vein.”
Ernest Hemingway

“We’re sick of hearing people say, “That band is so gay,” or “Those guys are fags.” Gay is not a synonym for shitty. If you wanna say something’s shitty, say it’s shitty. Stop being such homophobic assholes.”
Pete Wentz

“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Rob Siltanen

“Bottom line is, even if you see 'em coming, you're not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So what are we, helpless? Puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come. You can't help that. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are.”
Joss Whedon

“The Voice

There is a voice inside of you
That whispers all day long,
"I feel this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong."
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
Or wise man can decide
What's right for you--just listen to
The voice that speaks inside.”
Shel Silverstein
