And then, read some more. I often hear writers say they are too busy to read, and I think that is a big mistake. You learn so much by reading--pacing and plotting and characterization, to name a few things. You don't need to study books, just read and enjoy them. You absorb so much without realizing it. Roarke and Eve from JD Robb's In Death series. Why? Hmm...I love watching the growth of their relationship over the series of books. And, of course, he's Irish. I listen in audiobook so well, he's Irish. :)

“This man was hurt, damaged in some fundamental way. She saw it not in those scars upon his body but in the haunted expression in his eyes.”

Emily March, Angel's Rest

“All you need do is forgive. Resentment is an anchor holding you back from that which you desire most. Find the angel within you; cut the anchor line and beat your wings. The winds of forgiveness will stir a hurricane of healing and call up a tide of love that can carry you home.”

Thanks, Chris. Someone suggested I treat the blog page more like my Facebook posts than a formal blog and I can do that. I'm a failure at real blogging...but I can post updates easily. :) So, I'm going to try to make it a habit.
