I am Kevin Bohacz, a #1 bestselling author, lucid dreamer, Tesla fanatic, futurist, and mad scientist. Welcome to my dreams and my novels!

When I’m not busy writing op-eds and debating politics, science, e-cars, or human nature, I’m busy writing what I love to read, fiction with some real meat on its bones. More than anything, I love good contemporary earthbound techno-thrillers and sci-fi along the lines of Michael Crichton. So I write what I call contemporary literary upmarket metaphysical techno-thrillers.  All my novels wrestle with the big questions of life. Who are we? What are we? Why are we? This comes out in the form of genre-bending metaphysical threads that are woven through my books.

A few years ago I was widowed at a young age. My wife, my best friend of 17 years died in my arms while we looked into each other’s eyes. In the time that followed when I was drowning in grief I could hear my wife whispering to me, “Write my love… Write.” And so I wrote with tears blurring my eyes... I wrote so hard that I made my arms sore… I wrote so hard that I began to heal my soul. My writing saved me from grief that was dark enough to crush the life from me. I completed my forth novel Ghost of the Gods in a very short period of time while also simultaneously working on my new novels especially The Bridge.(less)

So my advice is write without a profit motive. Do not write because you want riches or fame or even a very modest income. The money will come if it comes but focusing on money will take your eye from what really matters which is first and foremost to write a book people will love. Once you have your book you have two options as I see it whether self-published or a publisher buys your book. You can spend as little as possible to promote until it proves that it will pay for itself. To me this is like tossing your book into the winds of chance to be discovered. I have two friends who are famous writers who did just this for their first foray into self-publishing and their excellent books went nowhere! So if you want to build a career you must be ready to spend a lot of time and money promoting your book. This means real advertising with broad reach not book signings. This means endlessly hawking your book. This means truly believing in your book enough so that you take the real risks... I guess it all boils down to determination as the critical ingredient, the spice that makes the meal. You must be dogged and unwavering. If you have a good book and are willing to stop at nothing, you can end up with bestsellers… I did (with a little luck thrown in).(less)

This op-ed was written on December 20th and published on December 27th in the Florida Times Union through the “USA Today” news network. I am a bestselling author, not a medical doctor. I believe this op-ed is something almost everyone on every side of the political spectrum can agree upon because our conscience tells us it is the right thing to do.

“Without death, life loses its meaning - without meaning, you were already dead.”
Kevin Bohacz, Immortality

“Human life was filled with little rattles and squeaks. Life was not perfect.”
Kevin Bohacz, Ghost of the Gods

“The warriors of our country, thought Mark, the protectors of our moral decline—so innocent and so lethal. They would go where they were told and do whatever was asked of them. Too bad the morality of the world’s leaders was not worthy of the trust and sacrifice of these young men and women. Too many leaders were obsessed with gaining power and money. So much energy was squandered inventing better ways of slaughtering each other just to steal the other’s shiny beads and women and oil. What had mankind given the world? Hydrogen bombs, exotic chemical agents, and anthrax letters... Humanity was a mess! We kill off a new species every day and replace their habitat with life sustaining concrete. Perhaps we had indeed earned our well-deserved extinction. The”
