Krisi Keley is a writer and artist with a degree in theology from DeSales University, who has also studied foreign and classical languages. In addition to Mareritt and Vingede, the first two books in the supernatural mystery-suspense series, The Friar Tobe Fairy Files, she's also the author of the paranormal speculative fiction novels, On the Soul of a Vampire and Pro Luce Habere and of English translations of three 19th century French stories. She is currently at work on more Friar Tobe fairy tale mysteries as well as on other writing projects. I hope you enjoy them. No, On the Soul of a Vampire is Book 1 in the series and Pro Luce Habere, which is a type of prequel to On the Soul, is Book 2. Because Pro Luce Habere covers 800 years of history and the book was over 500 pages, the original publisher thought readers might prefer it split into two volumes. I released a combined edition of those two volumes in Kindle format for those readers who would rather read both volumes of Pro Luce Habere as one book, the way it was originally written.

Genesis won't contain any werewolf mythology; the entire series is centered around the vampire myth and, in particular, how it is related to an understanding of the human soul. Because it's still in the very early stage of writing, I can't give a specific plot summary, but the general arc of the story revolves around solving the mystery hinted at in the first two books in the series and answering those questions that readers were left with. It will delve into the origin of vampires by connecting Valéry and Angelina's story to how and why vampires exist to begin with and will answer the question of what exactly happened between Valéry and Angelina at the end of On the Soul of a Vampire, what pain Lukios implied Valéry agreed to accept in Pro Luce Habere Volume 1 and what Valéry found so shockingly impossible at the end of Pro Luce Volume 2. The mystery of why he, in the end, seemed to feel he'd done exactly what had always been intended will be solved and this solution will link the purpose in Valéry's existence to the connection between human and angelic nature with a bit of a different understanding of a biblical story. There are some big surprises, I think, awaiting readers as much as awaiting Valéry and, like with human life, some "I was too close to it to see it clearly" solutions that show why it's best never to judge a soul, including our own, based on limited human vision and incomplete knowledge.
