Starr Gardinier Rick,

Good to hear from you! I'm curious, who ever won the contest you were running a while back?

I just took a course from a homicide detective. The article will be in an upcoming issue of Suspense Magazine. If you ever do a course, I'd be intersted in covering it!

Ed Rambeau Thanks for accepting my friend request, Starr. You seem like an interesting person, as well as an accomplished author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's.

Regards, and have a great day, Ed

Teresa,

Yes, this is fine to talk like this on Goodreads. You can also send me a message. On Writing was a great book. Through the laughter, he made some great points about writing. I would recommend this book. Do you write? If so, what? If not, what genre do you like to read?

message 6: by T.K.

T.K. Thorne Hi Starr,
I agree with your rating for On Writing. It was good to hear that even the King had the same writing struggles as us lower mortals. :-)

Was just in Maine where he lives. I meant to go by his residence where they say he has big iron gate with bats on it! LOL. He has endowed a library there and gave them money to build anew wing. Made me appreciate him more.

Is this the way folks "talk" to each other on Goodreads? I'm having a hard time figuring this all out.
