Coming Soon From Sarah Madison!
I have to snort a bit at the title of this post–it feels as though I should run a movie trailer, doesn’t it? But there are a lot of things going on right now that I’m very excited about!
Next month (32 days by the website’s counter!), I’ll be attending Galacticon 3 for the 35th anniversary of Battlestar Galactica! I’m a BSG fan from way back, and I was delighted to be invited to attend this convention as part of a panel discussion on fanfiction, as well as helping to host a workshop on writing...

When did I become one of Those People?
Life is pretty good for me at the moment. After a severely stressful quarter, I released The Boys of Summer earlier this week, and it is doing quite well in sales. Nice reviews are starting to roll in as well. I have cleared some major projects off my desk and I am looking forward to attending Galacticon3 and ComicPalooza. Getting a break from work is a big deal for me, and I’m anticipating the trip with great glee. Not only will I be able to indulge in my inner sci-fi geekiness, but I will b...

The Boys of Summer Now Available!
I can’t tell you how delighted and excited I am to finally be able to present to you The Boys of Summer. This novel hold a special place in my heart, due to the enormous amount of research I found myself doing when I started a little fact-checking for background information.
It’s funny how that happens, isn’t it? It started with a simple scene concept: I wanted to place one of my characters in an RAF fighter pilot’s uniform and have him leaning up against a Spitfire. You might ask, what does t...

Don’t blink–You Just Missed Spring!
It feels that way, doesn’t it? Last week we had six inches of snow in less than six hours–today it was 80 F. Overnight, it seems, everything has come into bloom. The forsythia is out. The pear trees are forming blossoms. Redbud is beginning to dot the mountain forests. The trees are turning green right before your very eyes. Wild daffodils nod their heads alongside banks of periwinkle and phlox as you drive along the country roads.
Let’s not forget the baby animals gamboling along in the emera...

The Boys of Summer gets cover art, a new release, and more!
Okay, I know you’ve probably heard me shouting about this already, but I can’t help it. Freelance artist Reese Dante has designed the perfect cover for my soon-to-be-released novel, The Boys of Summer. And I just had to share it here!
Isn’t it simply stunning? I can’t tell you how important it was to me to get this cover just right–and it was like Reese Dante read my mind!
This novel is a bit of a departure from my usual style: it’s a contemporary story that has a significant portion that takes...

The Devil in the Details: How Research Influenced Grace Duncan’s “Choices”
Today, I have Grace Duncan with me, as part of her blog hop tour for her new release Choices, from Dreamspinner Press. One of the things that impressed me about her explanation of the research that goes into her stories is the fact that even if some sort of fact-finding hunt fails to make it into the body of the story itself, it still goes to world-building. That’s what creates depth and lends the voice of authenticity to a story!
But let me let Grace tell you in her own words! Grace, the floo...

Claire Russett has a new release today: Networked (of the Argo Series)
My good friend Claire Russett has a new release today! Networked is the second in set of stories based on the space station Argo. Claire tells me that when she originally wrote Catalyst, the first in the Argo series, she had no idea she would be writing any more books set in this universe, but that she became intrigued by Chris and Duncan, and decided that she had to tell their story.
Based on this blurb, I can see why!
Blurb:
Networked

Major Duncan Harris is a Union soldier serving...
