What God’s Promises Require From Us

Cover_0623

One of our greatest gifts as Christians is the freedom to move on from our past. God tells us throughout scripture that He wants great things for our lives, and that the greater life found only in Him is ours for the taking. But, we can’t just sit on the sidelines and wait for it to happen. We have to do something with what we’ve been given. In this clip from our series (This is Your) Permission Slip, Pastor Steven teaches us that when we decide to actively pursue the promises of God, He’ll lead us into the future He’s planned for us.

How God Responds To Our Mistakes

Cover_0620

No matter who we are, we are all guaranteed to make some bad decisions. And these decisions often come with consequences. But how we respond in these situations says a lot about our view of God. In the aftermath of a bad choice, we can choose to live in perpetual guilt, or we can turn to God and ask for help and forgiveness. In this clip from our series INFIN8, Pastor Steven looks at the story of Adam & Eve to help us understand, even though there are consequences for our sin, God has provided a covering and the only way to overcome all our mistakes.

Elevation Creative: Dance Off

Cover_0618

As Christians we can be confident and steadfast knowing we have the hope of Christ to cling to as the world around us constantly changes – no matter your preference, style, or definition of ‘cool.’ To help set up this idea, during our sermon series One Generation Away, we took a lighthearted look at culture through the decades with a fun dance battle between past and present generations.

A New Way to Approach Your Prayers

Cover_0616

Have you ever heard the phrase: “Prepare for the worst, but hope for the best”? Sometimes, as Christians, we can start to think of prayer that way – we hope God will come through for us, but we aren’t really surprised if He doesn’t. In this clip from our series Sun Stand Still, Pastor Steven teaches us that when we pray with the kind of faith we see in the Bible, the same faith that caused a man to pray and see the sun stand still in the sky, we can come to God with the a new expectation about the power of prayer.

We’ve Got Problems; God’s Got Answers

Cover_0613

As Christians, we understand that having faith is more than just rolling the dice with our prayers, hoping God will fix all our troubles and do great things in our life. Faith requires participation too. And, throughout the Bible, God calls on people that are willing to work through their faith to accomplish His purpose and receive His blessing. In this clip from the series Greater Pastor Steven reminds us what active faith looks like, and assures us that we don’t need to know how it’ll all work out to believe God will show His glory through our faithful obedience.

Elevation Creative: Happy

Cover_0610

When we start to think about what our Savior has done for each of us, in spite of our own sins and failures, our hearts can’t help but celebrate and worship. Recently, we opened our worship experience with a performance of the song “Happy” by Pharrell, and our creative, production, and worship teams joined together to create an energetic atmosphere that prepared us to praise God with a heart of joyfulness.

How To Respond When Life Doesn’t Go As Planned

Cover_0609

We all have situations in our lives that we wish would have gone differently. And for many of us there’ve been times when it seemed like we were right on track, only to have whatever it was – a great job, a new relationship, big plans – just fall apart. What happened? Where did we go wrong? And what do we do now? In this clip from our series God’s Will Is Whatever Pastor Steven reminds us that sometimes what might look like our biggest failure, regret, or disappointment can become a great testament to the power of God in our lives.

The Choice We Have In Our Difficult Relationships

Cover_0605

One of the quickest ways to feel hopeless in our relationships is to believe we don’t have a choice. We feel trapped. And yes, there are many situations where walking out isn’t an option. We can’t just abandon our marriages or our families because it gets hard. But that doesn’t mean we should resign ourselves to a life of misery either. In this clip from our series How to Hug a Vampire, Pastor Steven explains that, because of Christ, we always have a choice in our relationships, regardless of the situation.
