What We Miss When We Feel Condemned
During Student Takeover 2013, Pastor Steven sat down with our students to answer their questions about what it looks like to be a Christian in today’s culture. In this clip from part 4 of (This is Your) Permission Slip, he reminds them of the reason Jesus came to the world – not to condemn us, but to invite us into a life of freedom with Him.

The Sights and Sounds of Love Week 2014
Love Week is one of our favorite times of the year at Elevation. We get excited for the chance to serve collectively as a church, showing others the love of Christ and meeting needs in our city. This year during Love Week, we joined with over 100 partners, at nearly 1,200 events to serve over 60,195 hours. And while it’s large in it’s scope of service and generosity, Love Week is also deeply personal and relational. In this video from our Creative and Outreach teams, we get a glimpse into the sights and sounds of Love Week 2014.

How to Find God in the Middle of Nowhere
Humans. We are so easily discontented. And sometimes we get so caught up thinking about where we’d rather be and what we’d rather be doing, that we forget all the places God has already been with us and all He has done in and through us. In week three of #DeathtoSelfie, Pastor Steven uses the story of Jacob’s encounter with God at Bethel to show us that, when we surrender our lives fully to Him, we can experience God’s presence wherever we are, wherever we go.

Elevation Worship Live Recording at Time Warner Cable Arena
There isn’t much that compares to the joy of worshiping God. The energy, emotions, the heartfelt praise, lifting up the name of Jesus – there’s nothing like it. Tonight, August 1, we have the opportunity to close out Love Week 2014 by gathering with our entire Elevation Church family under one roof to record a brand new live album in one of our city’s largest venues, Time Warner Cable Arena. It’s not too late to join us for this special night of worship. To reserve your seat and find out more information, visit elevationworshiplive.com.

Elevation Worship on Songwriting
Creativity doesn’t always flow in the exact moment we want it to, just like our prayers aren’t always answered the moment we pray them. But, that doesn’t mean we should stop working or praying. This video, featuring Elevation Worship Leader Chris Brown, shows how God gives us natural talents, but it takes diligence and obedience to pursue His supernatural calling on our lives.

The Destructive Power of Our Impulsive Decisions
As believers in Christ, we have a birthright — a spiritual inheritance received through the Holy Spirit. But sometimes, we turn our focus on the immediate gratification of momentary pleasure. In part two of #DeathToSelfie, Pastor Steven uses the story of Esau to show us how often we choose to trade our future for something fleeting and worthless. Yet through the grace of Jesus, we can be restored as firstborn children in our Father’s eyes, no matter what we’ve chosen in the past.

Then, that weekend, our students will take over every Elevation location, serving their community, and being a part of that weekend’s worship experience. What To Do When You Don’t Know Who You Are
Our ‘Me-First’ culture may seem like a modern problem, but since the beginning of time, we have been consumed by the internal struggle between who we really are and who we pretend to be. While we can’t fool God with our disguises, we can easily lose sight of our true selves while chasing after who the world says we should be. In Week 1 of our series #DeathtoSelfie, Pastor Steven shows us, through the life of Jacob, that the identity we all long for can only be given when we come to God as we really are.
