Books Dying to Read in 2016

What can be more fun than planning what books to read next year?

Actually reading them! ;)

The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater

If you’ve read the other books in this series, I *know* you are waiting for this book as impatiently as I am. It is the last book in an amazing saga full of characters that leave you no choice but to fall in love with them (Ronan *sigh*) and some pretty amazing writing.

Untitled by Erin Morgenstern

This year one of my favorite reads was “The Night Circus,” so when...

2015 Writing Goals Recap

Another year in my writing life has passed… and December is almost bye-bye, which means it’s time to do a 2015 writing goals recap.

How did I do? Did I accomplish all of them? Well . . . no :(

Again, just like last year. Double :(

Again, there were . . . reasons. *cough cough* excuses!

Unlike last year, this time there was nothing to get in the way like obtaining a publishing contract or a literary agent. Still, there was some work revamping older projects, work that happened behind the sce...

A Novella for the Ignite The Shadows Trilogy

What a busy day, week, month, year! Pheew!

So, what’s going on with me? Well, these past ten days, I’ve been working on my NaNoWriMo project, which happens to be a novella for the Ignite The Shadows trilogy. This novella will be James McCray’s story which—if you have read the first book in the series—happens to be a kickass character that many readers have fallen in love with.

And guys, one cool thing about writing this novella is that in what has transpired of...

“Wings of Sorrow and Bone: A Clockwork Dagger Novella” by Beth Cato

Wings of Sorrow and Bone: A Clockwork Dagger Novella

Wings Of Sorrow And Bone

A few months after the events of The Clockwork Crown

After being rescued by Octavia Leander from the slums of Caskentia, Rivka Stout is adjusting to her new life in Tamarania. But it’s hard for a blossoming machinist like herself to fit in with proper society, and she’d much rather be tinkering with her tools than at a hoity-toity party any day.

When Rivka stumbles into a laboratory run by the powerful Balthazar Cody, she also discovers...

Don’t be CLUELESS

I enjoy going to writers’ events. It is such fun being with likeminded people—all sharing favorite book suggestions or writing techniques. It’s the best!

What I don’t love, however, is always running into that one guy (sorry, it’s almost always a guy) who is absolutely CLUELESS.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with being clueless, clueless. We’ve all been there, weren’t born with a “Writer’s Digest” magazine under our arm, were we? We’ve gone to these things and felt like fish out of water plenty...
