Oh my goodness, Kassandra, I just saw this question! Sorry for not responding sooner!

I hope there will be a sequel to DGC. I have a lot of ideas on how to get the members of the Water Tower 5 into more trouble, and since you've read the book, you know what I mean when I say Max has some unfinished business that will have to be attended to.

Thanks for the question and the support!

I really enjoyed this. As a big fan of the show, it was interesting to hear the inner-workings of the writer room and the sacrifices everyone made to make the show a success.

"It was so good to read more Boone. I wish I read this before The Scam List because it was just a really nice way to lead into the story and get a deeper sense of Darby and Boone as a couple. The writing and the humour was still impeccable as ever! Ku" Read more of this review »

This book was a no-brainer for me. I, too, get nostalgic for my years of music obsession. And I enjoyed the first 3/4s of this a lot before it just sort of petered out. Still, it's darn funny in places and I easily connected with Spitznagel's musical ...more

A premise this good should be a fun read, but the book is dull and humorless. It doesn't help that the main character is unlikeable. Way too many needless descriptions of food, Italian locales, play-by-play, and weird choices like introducing a main ...more

“By the time he graduates, projected to be by his thirtieth birthday, Wheeler’s transcript will be a meme used to scare children into studying harder.”

“Like my balls,” Wheeler says.

Adleta starts laughing.

“What does that mean?” I say.

“Dude, you’ve never played Like My Balls? How do you survive the day? It’s all I ever do. Anytime the teacher makes a statement, try adding ‘like my balls.’ You know how like in history, Mr. Navarro is always saying, ‘History is a living breathing thing…’”

“Like my balls,” I finish.

“Exactly, man. It’ll change your life.”

“Like my balls.”

“See? You’re a natural.”

“Who wants to be like everyone else? Sometimes you have to break out and do it your own way.”
