John F. Montagne was raised in the American Midwest, the seventh child of a seventh son... it matters in some time zones. His academic achievements include: a BA in English/literature from Morningside College (U.S. Midwest) with minors in art and journalism, a Masters in English/Science Fiction Studies from the University of Liverpool (UK) with an independent study in (fringe) archaeology, teaching certification from Hamline University/linguistics (MN. US.), an editing/proofreading diploma from the London School of Publishing (UK), and doctoral candidacy (UK & US).
