And learn to take criticism. It's really not so bad once you get used to it. If you view criticism as an opportunity to grow and get better at your craft, you'll find that you welcome rather than shun it. Just remember that the greatest writers have all faced criticism. I think the best thing about this writer life is the adventure of it all. It's a challenge, and it requires you to step outside your comfortable box and enter into an entirely new world. There's nothing comfortable about writing. It's hard work, and it can be terribly vulnerable.

“Life is full of heartache and hardship,” she says. “Very rarely will life make sense, and it will almost never seem fair. But if you remember that pain and heartache aren’t unique to only you, that you’re not the only one mired in circumstances that seem too great to bear, you’ll do much better in life.”
Kelli Stuart, Like a River from Its Course

“To believe is to trust, and when you trust, your life has meaning and purpose outside of the mere endurance of hardship.” He takes my hand and slowly lowers it back to my side.”
Kelli Stuart, Like a River from Its Course

“Life is a series of trials, all strung together by moments of beauty.”
