(Er, wait, that's SINGS, sorry.)



I'm one of the winners of the ENnie Awards Karaoke Fundraiser, and thus am singing Take On Me by A-Ha at the beginning of the ceremony on Friday, August 16th.



The ENnies will be held at the Union Station Grand Hall, starting at 7:30 pm local time. There will also be a livestream on the Internet.

August 12, 2013: Finally, Castellan!

I'm happy to announce that at long last, we will have copies of Castellan available for you at Gen Con! Stop by our booth, #1301, if you want to pick up a copy! We'll have the North American red-and-blue version, and a limited number of the yellow-and-green international editions as well! (You can also order the North American version now, if you want.)



It's hard to describe the feeling of finally seeing a game you have been playing for a few years finally get into the public's hands. It's weird for me to think of it as "new," and yet it is. Many of you have already played it, quite possibly with me, and enjoyed it despite what was surely a devastating loss at my professional hands.



I almost feel like I'm from the future. I have years of experience at a game that has just come out. As a gamer from the future, let me tell you, Castellan is lots of fun. Pick it up! You are already years behind me; you can't afford to lose any more time.

August 10, 2013: 150 MIB Events At Gen Con 2013!

This year our MIBs are proud to present 150 events at Gen Con! These events are run in Hall E – in addition to our demos at booth #1301 in the trade hall and the munchkinly things at the Munchkin Tavern.



You can join the World Championships of Munchkin and Munchkin Quest . Try the Ogre Designer's Edition , Steve Jackson's first game design beautifully updated. There will also be playtests of an Ogre Designer's Edition expansion. Check out Castellan , an easy to learn but challenging game of castle building for two to four players.



Of course, the MIBs can teach you more of our great games, and if you want a general introduction to the best of Steve Jackson Games (both new and classic), we suggest you join the Path to Illumination events. If you consider yourself an expert in anything Steve Jackson Games offers, the "vs. MIB" events might be the right ones for you. This is where the MIBs play rough and show all their hardcore gaming skills, including the sneaky tricks they know.

August 9, 2013: Munchkin Pathfinder Signing At Gen Con

Steve and I will be signing Munchkin Pathfinder – and, within reason, whatever else you bring (T-shirts, anyone?) – at the Paizo booth (203/403) from 5 to 6 on Saturday, August 17 during Gen Con.



Paizo and Adventure Retail (booth #1301) will both have a few copies of Munchkin Pathfinder to sell; if you miss them here, you'll have to wait until September!



Both Steve and I do a few signings a year, but it's rare for us to do them together, so I'm really looking forward to this. See y'all there!

August 7, 2013: Ogre Events At Gen Con

Here at Ogre HQ, we're excited that Ogre Designer's Edition is being printed and assembled even as you read this.



You can be one of the first on the planet to play with an air-couried set from China! (The set we showed off earlier at Origins and DexCon was a hand-made prepoduction sample; we're bringing two advance copies of the final print product to show at Gen Con. Sorry, these will not be for sale.)



GenCon Event #1: Play Ogre Designer's Edition



We'll be teaching the rules, so this is a great chance to check out Ogre!



GenCon Event #2: Ogre Designer's Edition Expansion Playtest



These are "sneak preview" playtests for an upcoming Ogre Assault Pack expansion (with new terrain and units!), or one of the Kickstarter bonus scenarios. We're looking for experienced players who can provide feedback.

August 6, 2013: No Capsule Machine For Gen Con 2013

For the last two Gen Cons, our capsule machine has been a staple of the booth, containing all kinds of random goodies.



This year, we're not bringing it, because we spent our energies doing an even bigger, more awesome project: the Munchkin Tavern, which you should totally come and visit.



We're planning to have the capsule machine back again in the future, and maybe even at shows besides Gen Con, so keep your eyes open and your quarters handy!

August 4, 2013: Transforming Collections Complete!

I ran a Kickstarter project last year and can now happily report that the finished book, an introduction to third party Transformers toys and accessories, turned out wonderfully and that the 80-page hardcover is now available on Amazon. If you're at all a toy collector then you may want to take a look at the finished book . . . and I've started work on a sequel, but that won't find its way to Kickstarter until later this year.



Thank you to all of the project backers who were so supportive and have been sending me such wonderful feedback. It feels great to have successfully translated hundreds of photos into a printed collection.
