October 14, 2014: Andreas Goes To Germany
This summer, while visiting family in Germany, I took a special trip over to our friends at Pegasus. I had a nice lunch chat over crepes with co-owner Karsten, marketing director Michael, and Peter the convention manager at Pegasus, who also runs their Supporter program. Later, Karsten gave me a tour of their offices and then drove me to the building site of their new snazzy offices and humongous warehouse, which were nearly completed – and happened to be around the corner from their old location.
They're all really great guys, and I'm looking forward to spending more time with them while repping Steve Jackson Games at the Pegasus booth in Essen this week.

October 16, 2014: Bargain Hunting At Walmart
We've talked before about the shiny new version of
Munchkin
that's now on the shelves of many Walmart stores. But there's one thing we haven't revealed until now: the new bookmark that is in specially marked sets.Allow us to present The Official Munchkin Bookmark of Bargain Hunting!
Look for copies of Munchkin at your local Walmart that have the sticker on the package that promises a bonus item inside. Not all copies have the sticker and not all Walmart stores have the game, so check this list of Walmart stores to see which ones are carrying Munchkin . (You can't get the new bookmark online, either; you have to go to Walmart itself.)
Thanks to Walmart for partnering with us!– Andrew Hackard

October 13, 2014: JoCo Cruise Crazy!
It can now be told: I will be the Gaming Guest at JoCo Cruise Crazy next year!
JoCo Cruise Crazy is the Jonathan Coulton cruise. This year will be the fifth, and they keep on doing it, so obviously something is going right. It runs eight nights in the Western Caribbean on Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas, with music, comedy and performances from Coulton and friends. It departs from Ft. Lauderdale, FL on January 31st and returns February 8th, with ports of call at Phillipsburg, St. Maarten; Basseterre, St. Kitts; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Labadee, Haiti.
And because this is a geek event, and because many of us geeks kind of like games, the ship will have a game room. We're sponsoring it. There will be Munchkin . There will be Zombie Dice and Castellan and Revolution . Heck, there will even be Ogre . It's a big ship; we're pretty sure it can carry the box.
Not to mention a great number of games that we did not publish ourselves, because face it, some of those are pretty good too.
This whole thing is exciting to me for several reasons:
I have been a Coulton fan for years, seen him in concert, spent a lot of time (but not enough yet) listening to the music . . . but I've never met him.
Time spent around Paul and Storm is never wasted. Well, actually, it probably is, but it sure is fun.
And Andrew is coming, and when he gets together with Paul and Storm the repartee is competely repickulous.
Wil Wheaton!
I have never in my life been on a cruise.
SO: If this sounds like fun, get on board. Listen to Jonathan Coulton, Paul and Storm, the Both, and the other performers. Play some games with me. Just . . . not during the concerts, because I will be in the audience.

I'm taking it as a positive sign from The Powers That Be that Car Wars has gotten a shiny, brand-new web page of its very own. It not only looks cool (thanks, Keith!), but it has all the links to Car Wars resources throughout the netiverse that you'll need, plus a complete list of all available Car Wars products, both digital and those existing within the space-time continuum, and links to their Warehouse 23 pages as well.
Take a spin and check it out!

October 10, 2014: We're Making Garbage Pail Kids Games!
We've already worked with Topps a couple of times, when we made Munchkin Apocalypse Mars Attacks! and Mars Attacks – The Dice Game . Well, we're working with them again, but this time we're making Garbage Pail Kids games! At New York Comic Con, October 9, we unveiled Garbage Pail Kids: Super Snot Shots , a limited-edition dexterity game that's as gross as it sounds. It'll be available at NYCC, and on Warehouse 23 while supplies last.
But that's not all! In 2015, we're going to release Garbage Pail Kids: Disgusting Dice Game , a brand-new game that uses classic Garbage Pail Kids art, includes custom dice, and will be released in time to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Garbage Pail Kids trading cards. Gross!

October 8, 2014: Shipping Changes At Warehouse 23
Hey, international SJ Games fans: ever wished your packages would get to you earlier? So do we! We wanted to work toward getting shipments from Warehouse 23 out faster, so we've made a change to international shipping.
From now on, we're offering USPS International as a shipping option for our international fans. Specifically, you'll get these three options:
First-Class Package International Service
Priority Mail International
Priority Mail Express International
Each of these services include tracking and, depending on the destination country, should take only 10-12 business days.
Why are you changing?
Certain shipping methods tended to get lost frequently, did not have tracking and were taking three or more months(!) to arrive to international customers. No one should to deal with that uncertainty or wait that long for their order. We listened to your feedback, and added improved shipping options that will get your package to your doorstep quickly and safely.

October 7, 2014: GURPS Fourth Turns 10 With . . . Hans-Christian Vortisch
Since 2004, I've published nine GURPS Fourth Edition supplements and several Pyramid articles. Many of these projects were highlights for me as an author. Ever since I was first drawn to GURPS in the 1980s (I bought the first edition of High-Tech before I even owned the Basic Set ), I wanted to write GURPS High-Tech , and now it's a dream come true. Based on Mike Hurst's classic and with Shawn Fisher, I still consider it one of my best works. Several of my projects elaborate on the basics set down there, including the two GURPS High-Tech: Pulp Guns catalogs and the upcoming GURPS High-Tech: Adventure Guns .
My interest in the minutiae of human conflict resulted in a number of historical works, including a detailed look at combat techniques in a specific time frame in GURPS Martial Arts: Fairbairn Close Combat Systems . The latter was an illuminating and rewarding exercise for me, translating real-world teachings into game mechanics using the marvelous latest edition of GURPS Martial Arts . My favorite historical book is GURPS SEALs in Vietnam , which combined my fascination with that conflict with several alternate-history settings.
The two books that were the most fun for me to write in those years have to be GURPS Gun Fu and GURPS Tactical Shooting , which I developed and wrote simultaneously – the former together with Shawn Fisher and Sean Punch. To a considerable extent, research for these projects consisted of watching hundreds of films for inspiration and firing tens of thousands of shots from as many guns as I could lay my hands on. My enthusiasm shows, I think, and Tactical Shooting , especially, became a surprise hit with players.
Ten good years for me, and hopefully for the game as well.
Warehouse 23 News: A New Way To Love GURPS – To Death!
