Name the heroine contest! #contest
A while ago I put the call out on my reader loop (http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Heat_Wave_Readers/info) about the fact I need a last name for my current heroine, Kelsey, and they came through and gave me a whole list of great names. But I can’t decide so I’m going to leave it all up to you guys. I’m going to give you three options to chose from and I need to know if this is Kelsey’s married name or maiden name. In other words did she revert back to her maiden name after her divorce or keep her married one. She’s still friends with her ex and the two of them still share the same group of friends they’ve had since high school. Here’s the choices -
Thompson
Newman
Barnum
So, in the comments below leave your chosen last name and married or maiden and I’ll put everyone’s name who leaves a comment in a hat and draw out two people to receive a copy of 7 Minutes In Heaven.
What are you waiting for? Start leaving your comments.

Re-Release Day! All Of You
Finally! All Of You is now available again. Currently it’s up at Amazon and should be going up at other major ebook sellers over the next little while.
Claire Jones never thought her fantasies about the hot—younger—guy next door would ever turn into her reality but after a push from her best friend and an encounter involving dirty laundry she’s getting more reality than one woman should be allowed. But with reality comes emotion and Claire finds herself falling deeper and deeper under Ryan’s spell until he’s infiltrated every part of her life.
There’s no doubt Ryan Doherty wants in Claire’s pants but he soon realizes hot sex isn’t the only thing he’s after. She makes him happy in a way nothing and no one else ever has and if he has to use their sizzling chemistry to stay in her life he will. Because having all of Claire isn’t an option. It’s his only choice.
Excerpt:
By the time five o’clock rolled around, Claire was more than ready to escape and head home to the peace and quiet her townhouse offered. She longed for a hot bath, a glass of wine, and good book. Preferably all at the same time.
Traffic was a bitch. A sixty-minute drive quickly turned into ninety minutes in hell. Claire cursed and muttered under her breath the whole way. Even lowered the window and swore at the driver of a truck after he almost became her new hood ornament.
Frazzled, hot, and sticky she was ready for a whole bottle of wine when she finally approached her drive at little less than top speed. Too distracted by her own annoyance, Claire didn’t notice the man standing in the parking lot until she nearly ran him over. Cursing a blue streak any sailor worth his salt would envy, she slammed on the brakes, threw the car into park, and flung her door open.
“Are you fucking crazy!” she screamed as she launched from the vehicle. “I could have run you dow—” The air left her lungs and her words caught in her throat. The glistening flesh of a god-like, bare male chest numbed her mind and turned her body into a quivering vessel of need.
Ryan.
God the man is to die for. Claire would have had to be dead not to notice. Even dead I’d notice him. She tried to swallow over the lump of harsh words in her throat.
“Evening, Claire, bad day at the office?”
Ryan’s smirk should have been irritating. Instead it did funny things to her belly, stirred and warmed it like soup in a saucepan. She licked her lips, swallowed again, and finally dragged a few words from the depths of lust-induced stupidity. “Drive home.”
Jeez, could I be anymore lame? The man probably thought she was an idiot. Hell, she acted like a dumb schoolgirl every time he was around, so who could blame him if he did?
“Ah, yes. I heard there was a bad accident on the highway earlier. They said traffic would be screwed for hours.”
His gaze dropped to where her blouse sat snug across her breasts, the material raising and lowering with every labored breath. Her nipples strained beneath her bra. The look in his eyes one of hunger—desire. Could Jane be right about him? The thought sent shockwaves of heat bursting out from the breasts he hadn’t stopped staring at. Her pulse quickened, her breath turned short—choppy. Her clit ached, and Claire squeezed her thighs together to ease the throb.
Ryan’s nostrils flared, and his gaze came back to meet hers. The heat and lust swirling in the green orbs delivered another burst of heat to her body. Claire shivered. Goose bumps sprang up all over her skin and moisture filled her panties. God, if he could do that with a look what could he do with a touch? Sparks of gold ignited in his eyes, and Claire wondered why she’d never noticed those flecks of light before. Had she ever allowed herself to look that close?
No. She’d kept contact with Ryan to a minimum. Usually because she found it hard to string a sentence together with the way he had her body exploding to life whenever he got close. Oh, who was she kidding? Just thinking about him sent her nerve endings into a frenzied bunch of sex-craving knots. Claire closed her eyes and took a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself. Big mistake.
The scent of hot, sweaty male flooded her nose and lungs. Her body went from mild arousal to fever pitch in a nanosecond. The smell of a hardworking man had always turned Claire on, but coming from Ryan it tweaked her senses on a whole new level. Her pussy throbbed and turned slick, her breasts swelled and grew heavy, and her nipples rasped against the cotton bra she wore. Her eyes popped open wide, and without permission her torso leaned closer to what tantalized her.
A cool breeze ruffled the hems of her skirt and blouse, drifting beneath the material to flow over heated skin. Her clit burned with want, and Claire knew she could climax with minimal effort. Hell, she was so close it would take no more than a brush of his hand or lips to set her off.
Shit. She had to get away.
Without a word she spun on her heels and dove back into her car. Slamming the door, she put the car in gear and shot into her parking spot. In one move she switched the engine off and grabbed her handbag. After jumping from her seat, she shut the door with her hip then strode across the asphalt. Aiming her keys over her shoulder, she activated the door locks and alarm.
“Gotta go. Can’t stop,” she called out as she made a dash for the front of her townhouse…safety.
It took longer than she liked to fumble her way inside and close the door behind her. Slumping against the cool timber, Claire let her head fall back with a thunk and stared at the ceiling in her foyer. She shuddered. She’d just made a complete fool of herself, and even if she’d been remotely contemplating doing as Jane had suggested and what her body screamed for, she’d probably just managed to ruin any hope she may have had at succeeding.

Disappearing books.
If you haven’t already noticed I’ve removed a couple of my novellas from my book page. This is because the publisher they are available through (Noble Romance) is in the process of closing its doors. Over the next month or so these books will be removed from all points of sale and once this occurs I’ll be able to organize getting them re-released under my own name. I haven’t decided whether I’ll re-edit them or release them as is just yet but I’ll be sure to tell you either way once they’re back on the cyber shelves.
The closing of this particular publisher hasn’t come soon enough. I’ve fought for months to have my rights returned due to breaches of my contracts but have been treated in less than a business-like fashion and I’m glad to finally be able to see the light at the end of this particular tunnel.
In the meantime there’s still plenty of my books available AND I have a novel and novella scheduled for release in December, plus a slightly ‘secret’ project that I should be able to talk about soon.

Shout Out for Lexxie Couper!
Lexxie Couper has a new book, Guarded Desires, out today. Check it out!
Desire like this wasn’t in the script…
Heart of Fame, Book 3
Small-screen sex symbol Chris Huntley is on the fast track to becoming the next big action-blockbuster movie star. When his latest movie takes him to Australia for a red-carpet premiere, he thinks he’s ready for anything.
But nothing could have prepared him for his raw, carnal response to his Aussie bodyguard. Sexual attraction to a man is a first for Chris. Now he realizes why his relationships with women have never felt quite…complete.
Liev Reynolds is comfortable with his bisexuality, but his attraction to Chris is an inconvenience he must ignore. For starters, there’s his professional ethics. Then there’s the long trail of female broken hearts in Chris’s wake.
Hard as they both try to keep their minds on their jobs, desire and a little matchmaking tip them over the edge. But Hollywood endings aren’t real life. And when the truth leaks out, their careers aren’t the only collateral damage.
Product Warnings
A hunky Hollywood sex symbol. A smoldering, stubborn Australian. A desire so powerful it cannot be denied. A kiss. And a photograph. This isn’t your normal boy-meets-boy story.
Excerpt:
The squeals were deafening. The feverish fans pressed at his back in a wave of maniacal rapture. He pressed back, holding his right arm out to protect Chris as he maneuvered on the backseat.
The actor looked up at him, his grin bemused. Their eyes connected for a second, just a second, but what Liev saw in their light-blue depths stole his breath. Slammed into him with more force than the screaming crowd trying to mow over him in an effort to see and touch their idol.
Desire.
Chris Huntley looked at him with desire.
There was no denying it.
Jesus.
“Let’s go,” he said, forcing his voice to sound stern as he threw the crazed crowd a threatening glare.
Chris alighted from the SUV.
The crowd squealed again. Surged forward. Pressed against Liev’s back.
He braced against the pressure, curling his hand around Chris’s upper arm to support him.
Protect.
Touch him.
Hot energy shot down his arm. Into his chest. His soul.
He ground his teeth. Ignoring the disturbing reaction, he pulled Chris into his body, tucking him close to his side. The subtle scent of expensive aftershave threaded into his breath and, completely indifferent to the volatile moment, a tight lick of heat stole through his groin.
Clenching his jaw harder, he turned just enough to shield Chris from the crowd and began walking, parting the shoving fans with one arm.
They protested louder but scurried backward, enough for Liev to hurry Chris toward the entrance.
And then a stark white light flash right in front of Liev’s eyes.
He flinched, raising his hand to his face. Chris stumbled, his shoulder bumping into Liev’s armpit. The flash fired again and a man chuckled. “Nice.”
Liev caught the actor before he could trip again. But the action was enough for the crowd to sense weakness.
“Oh my God, I love you, Chris!” a female voice screeched at Liev’s right.
“I love you, Chris!” a new female voice squealed.
“I love you, Chris!” another woman cried.
“I love you, Chris!”
“Chris!”
“Chris! Chris!”
The horde erupted, pressing in with greedy excitement. Hands snatched out. Fingers scraped at Liev. Chris let out a shout.
With a snarl, Liev hauled the actor hard to his side and swung out his arm, his fist bunched.
People went tumbling, falling over each other. The flash fired again, joined by others.
Madness took over. Like a feeding frenzy, the mob attacked.
Liev didn’t let Chris go. Nor did he falter. Shoulder down, he barged forward.
He didn’t know where Bethany was. He couldn’t risk looking for her. She was smart. Smart enough to sense the crowd and not get out of the SUV. At least, he hoped to God that was the case. For now, all he could focus on was getting Chris off the street. Out of danger.
Away.
“Here!” a man shouted somewhere in front of him. “Mr. Reynolds, here!”
Liev flicked his attention upward, glaring at the screaming mob. Behind the wall of waving, grabbing people, a man in a suit pushed toward him. His face was red and covered in sweat, his hair disheveled. He grabbed at shoulders and clothes, yanking people out of his way, clearing a path for Liev and Chris. “This way,” he shouted.
Without hesitation, Liev tightened his grip on Chris and charged forward.
Hands and fingers raked over his back and arms and shoulders, but he didn’t slow. Behind him, growing louder every second, a police siren wailed over the noise.
“This way,” the man shouted, a second before Liev reached him.
He waved Liev and Chris through the open restaurant door, muttering something Liev didn’t hear.
For a split second, Liev dared to slow, to draw breath, and then the man behind him slammed into his back and he stumbled forward.
“Through the kitchen,” the man shouted, just as Liev watched the crowd surge through the door, even as the man tried to shut it. “To my office. Go!”
Without a word to Chris, Liev pulled him through the restaurant. Passed the gaping diners, passed the wait staff, through the kitchen with its busy cooks and into an office.
Releasing Chris, he spun around, slammed the door shut and rammed the locking bolt into place. “Damn,” he ground out, palms flat on the door. “That was insane.” He looked over his shoulder at the panting, gasping actor. His gut churned at the stunned shock on Chris’s face. “I’m sorry, Mr. Huntley. That was—”
He didn’t get a chance to finish.
Chris grabbed his shoulder, yanked it hard enough to jerk Liev around and kissed him.
Liev froze.
For a heartbeat.
And then he growled into Chris’s mouth, dug his fingers into the man’s biceps, spun him around and drove him backward. Pinned him to the door.
Their tongue battled in a fierce mating that sent shots of scalding need straight to Liev’s groin. Chris bit at his lip, sucked on it. He tore at Liev’s clothes, seeking the hem of his shirt.
Liev’s heart beat harder when Chris’s fingers found his flesh.

A shout out for Bianca D’Arc
I have heaps to catch up on since we returned from our Hawaii & US trip and I promise to post about it next week.
Right now though I want to give a shout out to my good friend Bianca D’Arc. B is one of the first authors I met in person way back in 2009 and I have to say she’s not only a great writer but a fantastic friend. Anyone lucky enough to meet her would have to agree.
Anyway, her latest release is now available!

Tales of the Were: Grif
Redstone Clan #1
Griffon Redstone is the eldest of five brothers and the leader of one of the most influential shifter Clans in North America. He seeks solace in the mountains, away from the horrific events of the past months, for both himself and his young sister. The deaths of their older sister and mother have hit them both very hard.
Lindsey Tate is human, but very aware of the werewolf Pack that lives near her grandfather’s old cabin. She’s come to right a wrong her grandfather committed against the Pack and salvage what’s left of her family’s honor – if the wolves will let her. Mostly, they seem intent on running her out of town on a rail.
But the golden haired stranger, Grif, comes to her rescue more than once. He stands up for her against the wolf Pack and then helps her fix the old generator at the cabin, making it habitable for her while she completes her task. He’s friendly and all too attractive, but she has a job to do, regardless of the cost to herself or her budding relationship with the local handyman.
When she performs the ceremony she expects will end in her death, the shifter deity has other ideas and turns the tables on them all. Grif’s dual nature is revealed and Lindsey learns there is much more going on than she thought.
Thrown together by fate, neither of them can deny the deep and true attraction between them. They come together, but in the end will an old enemy rip them apart?
Warning: Cats are frisky and they get up to all sorts of naughtiness, including a frenzy-induced multi-partner situation that might be a little intense for some readers. You have been warned.

I’ve got my copy and can’t wait to read it but first I have to get this dreaded sucknopsis done.
Then again maybe I could read just a couple of pages……

On the shelf at Barnes & Noble in Honolulu
There’s no surprise in the fact that I would find a book store wherever it is I go. Or that I would head for the romance section when I do.
So who did I spy on the shelves during my Hawaii holiday?
My good friend Bianca D’Arc
In two places no less.
One of Jennifer Bernard’s sexy firemen.
The amazing Jill Shalvis and fellow Aussie author M.J. Scott.
My newly discovered must-read Kristin Higgins.
Two Aussie authors. Kylie Griffin and Erica Hayes.
Kylie Griffin again.
And the wonderful Beth Williamson writing as Emma Lang.
Unfortunately Mr.C wouldn’t let me buy any print books because we’re heading for the Romantic Times Convention where I’ll be acquiring plenty. *looks over shoulder for Mr.C* So I had to satisfy my buying impulse by sneaking onto the free wifi and buying a couple of eBooks.
Don’t forget to follow me on Twitter or my Facebook page for updates while I’m away (links to both are in the bottom right corner of the page). Tomorrow we’re flying from LA to Kansas City and the week of madness that is RT begins.

ALOHA! #hawaiiholiday
I’m in Hawaii! This trip has been over 15 years in the making. See when Mr.C and I got married we didn’t go on a honeymoon. We got married three months after we started dating. We bought matching wedding bands and toddled off to the Births, Deaths and Marriages office with very little fanfare.
For our first anniversary I got an ‘engagement’ ring and Mr.C got a dress ring which I think he wore for all of five minutes before deciding it was annoying.
He also promised me he’d take me to Hawaii for our tenth anniversary. Flash forward a few years and a few kids and we’ve reached the magic ten and what do I get? An eternity ring.
No trip.
But let’s get back to THIS trip. It was supposed to be a family trip but two of the tribe, Son#1 & Princess&thePea, decided they didn’t want to go due to life, which meant Lady-in-waiting didn’t get to go either.
Princes-not-charmed wasn’t interested either & Boxer-boy (Princess&thePea’s other half) didn’t even get a look in. So we’re taking The Kid (touch wood there will be no breakages) and Princess One (Lord help the shops). I wanted it to be a big family event to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary which is in June this year. Yeah, we’re early, sue me.
Anyway……
we’re HERE!
In HAWAII!
For EIGHT days!
I’ll try to post pix to my TWITTER and FACEBOOK but as I’ll be having a hell of a lot of fun I may be distracted.
And the fun doesn’t stop after eight days! Nope, The Kid and Princess One get to fly home and resume normal=mundane life and Mr.C and I fly on to LA to spend four days with Lila Dubois and FarmBoy before we jet off to the Romantic Times Convention in Kansas City. The convention is the reason we’re taking this trip to Hawaii earlier than our actual anniversary. Makes sense when you factor in the cost of the plane ride and the time it takes to get there. But you know I’d have been quite happy to take two trips.
On a writing note, 7 Minutes In Heaven is finished and on my editors desk. I’ll let you all know details as soon as I get them. 7 is the fifth Party Games series book and I had fun playing with Luc and Cassie so I hope you all like them too. You can find some snippets up on my FACEBOOK page.
Don’t forget to check out my TWITTER and FACEBOOK steams for pix of my adventures in Hawaii and the Romantic Times Convention.
