Democrats Fall Back on the Same Tired Lies From 1994

The Wall Street Journal is reporting this morning, "Congress's hot August recess has begun with rhetoric to match, with Democrats pummeling Republicans for wanting to trim Social Security, and Republicans hammering Democrats for favoring tax increases."

Likewise, CNN notes, "Democrats pledged Friday to not only keep Social Security in place, but use the historic program against Republicans ahead of the midterm election."

Moderate Republicans in Congress will probably quake about those crazy...

The Idiocy of Barack Obama's Mosque Support

Barack Obama last night came out forcefully in favor of the Ground Zero Mosque. He said he believed our nation's founding principles demanded it.

Really?

Which of those founding principles? This man was a law professor. Surely he understands that our founding principles do not compel the President of the United States to support the specific act of an individual based on our founding principles. Otherwise, he no doubt supports revolution because that is the principle on which our republic b...

I'm Still Perturbed by This

The Bill McCollum campaign in Florida is lamely trying to deny they had anything to do with that stupid lawsuit against Rick Scott. They've also decided that because I am defending Scott in this that I must be a shill for Scott.

Were I shilling for Scott, given my track record, I would be endorsing the guy. I am not and that is not the point.

The point is if a Democrat State Attorney General drummed up an investigation against his political opponent's corporation, used a disgruntled doctor...

Understanding Barack Obama By Proxy Syndrome

Kjersten Forseth of ProgressNow Colorado blasted out an email yesterday seeking to define Ken Buck early as too fringe for Colorado. In her email she said

What would you say about a man who thinks you should vote for him because he "doesn't wear high heels?" What would you say about a man who endorsed a radical abortion ban, and says he even opposes a woman's right to choose if she is raped? What would you say about a man who believes Social Security should be run by Wall Street, and the...

Is the Colorado Independent Making Up Numbers to Discredit Scott Rasmussen?

As I noted yesterday, Scott Rasmussen has out a new poll showing Ken Buck beating Michael Bennet in Colorado. In fact, back on July 27th, Rasmussen polled Colorado and found in that poll too that Buck is beating Bennet.

Well, the left-wing Colorado "Independent" has a story out on the poll and includes this nugget:

A July 27 poll saw Bennet pulling down only 42 percent of the vote against Buck.

In that same late July poll, Rasmussen leaned heavily toward Norton in the GOP primary match-up she...

The 14th Amendment Canard

"Lindsey Graham …. just wants to save himself by looking like he is doing something without actually doing anything."

I have spent a lot of time on TV and radio this week talking about amending the 14th Amendment to deal with birthright citizenship. It is a non-issue, will not happen, and is unnecessary anyway to deal with the issue.

For starters, let's remember that birthright citizenship was around long before the 14th Amendment. It came from the English Imperial days, starting around...

Buck Beats Bennet

The Democrats said no way. They said Ken Buck is fringe, thinks social security is unconstitutional, and is opposed to the federal government taking over and destroying the student loan industry.

The Democrats said there was no way Ken Buck could beat Michael Bennet.

Heck, the GOP establishment said the same thing.

According to Rasmussen, Buck is beating Bennet 46% to 41%.

Maybe that is why the DSCC is flat out lying about Ken Buck's positions on social security and student loans.

Bennet...
