“In an environment where there are too many choices, too many decisions, too much information, and too many demands on our cognition, it pays to be judicious about the complexity we voluntarily sign up for. When we make the decision to streamline our lives, we also create time and room to think with focus and intent. In a complex world, time to stand back and look at the big picture, time to consider our options more carefully, time to make more deliberate decisions, and time to breathe are necessities for survival.”
Rebecca D. Costa

“The real problem of humanity is the following: We have paleolithic emotions; medieval institutions; and god-like technology.”
Rebecca Costa, The Watchman's Rattle: A New Way to Understand Complexity, Collapse, and Correction

“The principles governing the speed at which the human organism can biologically adapt offer us the single greatest insight into why civilizations succeed and fail as well as the most reliable preview of our own destiny.”
Rebecca Costa, The Watchman's Rattle: A New Way to Understand Complexity, Collapse, and Correction

Rebecca Costa On the Verge by Rebecca D. Costa “ On the Verge is a terrific jackpot of a book. It is both page-turner entertaining and think-trigger serious about how we—meaning all of us—can get ahead of the many curves out there in our varied lives, liberties and pursuits of happiness. Read it and smile. But mostly read it and plan. ”

Jesse Hanson Thank you for including me among your friends, Rebecca. It's good that people like yourself are thinking clearly about the problems of environment and social issues. I wish you all success in your work, and in all aspects of your life.
All things being connected, I endeavor to focus on the spiritual aspect. Hope you'll have a look at my novel, Song of George: Portrait of an Unlikely Holy Man when you have an opportunity.
Namaste, jesse

Ed Rambeau Thanks for your friend request, Rebecca, which I happily accept. You seem like an interesting person, as well as an accomplished author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is an unusual murder mystery entitled: FORBIDDEN STEPS.

Regards, and have a great day, Ed
