Do the thing!
It’s been far too long since either of us have posted here, and I wish I had a good reason for those of you who are still hanging in to read our natterings. In short: life happened. In long…well, life happened.
You’ll notice that Winner Takes All is gone from the internet. Again. This time it wasn’t planned, being as no one plans for a publisher to close, and now Jenny and I are trying to decide what to do with our dirty little been around the block (twice) baby. We’re not really stressing ov...

We’ve dropped!
The audiobook I alluded to before has finally been released. Her Brother’s Dirty Secretis a naughty little piece about a woman who discovers her step-brother (no actual incest here!) has some pretty dirty fantasies about her and decides to take action…
Also available at Amazonand on iTunes.

I’m still here too!
I have an audiobook coming out soon. It isn’t my usual fare, but I found the concept intriguing and sent in my audition and voila! It’s short and sex but not for everyone, I don’t think. Audible is processing it for production now. I will provide links and more details as soon as I can, but it’s exciting to have something new to report!

This thing on?
Holy crap, it has been so long since I’ve maintained this site. I’m always on my authors about blogging/having a web presence, so you’d think I’d mind my own advice, wouldn’t you?
Nah. Too predictable.
But here I am, dusting the cobwebs out of the corners and straightening up the place. I’m sure we’re going to need a new look soon, but at least our content is *gasp* up to date!
For example, you’ll notice that Winner Takes All is no longer listed as available for purchase. That’s because our cont...

Special Call for Subs – Under the Cape
One of the coolest parts of my job is that I get to post things like this.
Especially because it’s got to do with superheroes. Do you have any idea how big my soft spot is for superheroes, you guys? HUGE. EPIC. I could write a thesis on them. Or possibly chuck in what few cool points I’ve managed to cobble together over the years and just give in to the burning desire to go back to collecting comic books.
WHAT.
Oh look! a call for subs!

Tales From the Slush Pile
It’s been a while since I’ve blogged, and I feel like I owe you all an apology for going MIA. The truth is, I’ve been busy like crazy. I love editing, love being a head editor, and absolutely love working at Musa. Ask Jenny, it’s pretty much all I talk about these days (well, that and the fact I’m very slowly carving out time to do my own writing these days — No. Small. Feat.). Anyway, since I’ve been living and breathing this job, I thought I’d bring you a (much nicer) version of something I...

And now for something completely different…
I love audiobooks.
I haven’t always been a fan. I’ve been a reader for literally longer than I can remember, and spent the vast majority of my childhood at the city library two blocks away from my house. For a long time, I looked down on audiobooks. They weren’t nearly as pervasive then; most of them I remember were incredibly abridged versions on two or – if you were lucky – four cassette tapes. Who on earth, I thought, would bother listening to half a story on their Walkman when they could c...

The Witch Craze – Welcome Tara Lain!
We're so happy to have our good friend Tara Lain back at UrbanSilver again today! and not only does she have a really interesting post for us, but she's got a contest, too! Check it out:
Thank you so much Liz and Jenny for inviting me today! As you know, I am celebrating the release of my first paranormal novel, Spell Cat. It's about witches– in my case a male witch. But my hero is a professor of history and teaches a class on the witch craze that gripped Europe and later the US from the...

Fiction Contest! Win a Contract!
So part of the fun in having all of my new responsibilities, is that I get to do cool things, too. And when we decided to have a fiction contest over at the Erato imprint, I knew that was one of those cool things.I do so love it when a plan comes together
After some talking, it was decided we would model our contest on American Idol. Of course, they left me in charge of planning, and…I don't watch American Idol or any of those shows. I mean, the closest I come is my eerrie attraction to that F...

The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated….
…in fact, I have a new story out! It's part of the '"More Love Notes" anthology just released from Musa Publishing.
The Heart is a Stringed Instrument is the story of an unapologetic man-whore named Brandon. Brandon has never wanted a relationship – random hook-ups are so much easier and cleaner in so many ways. And then he meets Mark.
Composed and professional, talented and skilled. Smoking hot. If Brandon hadn't experienced Mark's other skills first, he wouldn't have given him a second...
