Newly published children's author. Mother of four. Owns a property management firm with husband in West Chester, Ohio. I enjoy writing due to the release from real life that it gives. I like to go back to simpler times. That is probably why I enjoy writing for children, you don't need to think to terribly hard about issues. You can write about the family dog, the neighbor, it can be light hearted and fun all the time if you want it to be, it can also though be entertaining while still teaching a lesson or preparing them for change. A while ago I found a Literary Agency that had a link to a blog called Pub Rants. Out of curiosity I pulled it up to find that it contained a lot of very useful information as well as a similarity of mind that I admired.
