I still hope to write more of the Twisted Tales books. The publisher didn't want any more :( but I might do some on my own.

I have great ideas mostly worked out for Snow White and Beauty and the Beast...

Thanks so much for contacting me and for loving the books! The were sure fun to write. :)(less)

Hi Cintia,
I'm sorry that I took so long to reply! If I'm stuck, one thing that works for me is, well, to write.
To write ANYTHING. Even writing something like: I have no idea what to write and it's really frustrating and the pressure is bothering me and making me sad.... Even that can help.
Often if I start typing (or writing with a pen) as if I'm talking to one of my friends about the problem I'm having, I work out my problem and start working on my manuscript again.
Above all, don't beat yourself up!
Try to do a little bit each time and build. Don't worry if it's not perfect. You can always fix a first draft.
Happy writing!!(less)

So hot, so wrought with tension. I could not put it down.

“Elmore Leonard's Ten Rules of Writing

1. Never open a book with weather.
2. Avoid prologues.
3. Never use a verb other than "said" to carry dialogue.
4. Never use an adverb to modify the verb "said”…he admonished gravely.
5. Keep your exclamation points under control. You are allowed no more than two or three per 100,000 words of prose.
6. Never use the words "suddenly" or "all hell broke loose."
7. Use regional dialect, patois, sparingly.
8. Avoid detailed descriptions of characters.
9. Don't go into great detail describing places and things.
10. Try to leave out the part that readers tend to skip.

My most important rule is one that sums up the 10.

If it sounds like writing, I rewrite it.”
