Blog Tour ~ First Frost

ext stop in the blog tour, it's an interview and review with Michelle Chew Writes. I have to admit, she asked some really good questions.

Here's a sneak peek.

1. How would you describe First Frost in one sentence?Bianca Frost works in a fairy tale themed museum and finds out the hard way that fairy tales are in fact real. 2. There are several fairy tales and its magical items incorporated into First Frost. I personally like the brick house from the third little pig. That is one useful item on Bianca’s journey. Which one of the fairytale/magical item is your favorite and why?Ooooh, that’s a good question. Well out of the items that Bianca takes with her to Everafter the most useful is the brick house. But my absolute favorite? Red Riding Hood’s cape.   3. What’s your favorite quote in First Frost?I don’t know if I could choose one single sentence that’s my absolute favorite. I do love writing for Bianca and Ming, they have such great and natural back and forth that I have fun writing their scenes together. This is one of my favorites:“That was twenty different kinds of creepy, B.”“You say that a lot. Are you sure there are twenty different kinds, Ming?”“Yep.”“You’re going to have to list them for me one of these days,” Bianca said.“I can do that right now.”“You really don’t have to.”“I’m going to prove my point once and for all.”Bianca groaned.“There’s creepy, obviously, quickly followed by kooky, spooky, mysterious, ookey,” Ming said.Bianca raised her hand and interrupted her by saying, “That’s the beginning of The Addams Family song.”“Those words still make my list,” Ming argued. “Sinister, eerie, weird, strange, abnormal, uncanny, frightening, odd, scary, unnerving, chilling, unsettling, disturbing, bizarre, and abominable.”Bianca blinked several times and waited for Ming to say something else.“Are you officially finished?” she asked.“I am,” Ming replied, looking really pleased with herself. “You know it took me weeks to memorize all of those words in case I needed to list them someday.”“So that’s what you do with your spare time?”“Oh, shut up.” Ming stuck her tongue out and gave Bianca a raspberry.

Blog Tour ~ First Frost

N
ext stop in the blog tour. My Miscellaneous Bookshelf posted a fantastic review of my book. Can't get over the fact that the blogger is from Finland! How freaking cool is that? :D Another awesome review from Book Nerds. Love, LOVE the fact that she enjoyed my book so much. That's basically all it's about for me. The love of reading, the magic of words and the fun of storytelling.

Cassondra is Team Terrance. (So am I.) I was actually thinking about making buttons. If I do, I'll definitely send her one. :)
On a different note, I decided to chuck the romance novel I started a few years ago. Just not feeling it. Instead I'm going to dive in head first into another Bianca novel. That will definitely be much more fun. :D

Blog Tour ~ First Frost

Next stop in the blog tour is Cordelia Dinsmore's blog. She's one of the authors at Musa Publishing and she jumped at the chance to read and review my book. She mentions a Frank Sinatra song in the beginning of her blog post so I figured I'd share that here with you guys.

And as a bit of a shout out here's a link to her book. You should check it out. ;-)

Blog Tour ~ First Frost

N
ext stop in the blog tour is at Life Ducks with a teaser. Please stop and read it, hope you like it.

On another note, I finished writing Glass Frost last week and I've been taking a mental break of sorts. Still very strange for me to not be writing. Ya know what I mean? I've spent almost 3 years of my life writing two fantasy novels and I'm having a hard time getting my head out of those characters and that world. I've decided to go back to a romance novel I started writing a LONG time ago and I have no idea how to get back into my main character's head and how to go back to 'real world' rules. Sigh. Wish me luck.

I need to write again...I've been spending all my free time playing Angry Birds. Sigh. Waste of time.

oday I'm actually featured in two different sites. One is a review at Jenn Renee Read and the other is a guest blog post (which I wrote at the very last minute which is why it's kinda...all over the place. I apologize in advance for my ramblings) at Book Nerds.

Enjoy!!

Dream casting

Okay...kinda cheesy...but people often ask me that if First Frost ever got turned into a movie who would I want to play Bianca, Ming, Terrance and Prince Ferdinand.

Let me know what you all think!

Omay. Sarah Hyland by ~Martha-Butterfly on deviantART

I love Sarah Hyland in Modern Family. She's so funny. I would love for her to play Bianca mostly because she has excellent comedic timing and she has a lot of the spunky, quirky vibe that Bianca has.

Ellen Wong would play the part of Ming. Some of you might remember her as Knives Chau from Scott Pilgrim VS The World.

Benjamin Barnes by ~judyeve on deviantART

Ben Barnes would definitely play Terrance. <3 So dreamy!!

lUcas Till by ~Gomez-Style on deviantART

And last but not least, Lucas Till as Prince Ferdinand.

Have you guys read this?

Crime Writer RJ Ellory Caught Faking Amazon Reviews
http://abcnews.go.com/International/crime-writer-rj-ellory-caught-faking-amazon-reviews/story?id=17143005#.UEYSWMFlSO4

This is just so wrong on so many levels. So many writers doing everything they can to get honest reviews and trying to get their name out there and unable to pay for advertising...sigh. It's just sad and so wrong on so many levels. And this is an award winning author!! This was completely unnecessary and then going online and bashing other writers?? Seriously?! *shakes head*
