BAPTISM AS A PROPHETIC ACT
October 7, 2023 – 10/7
Today’s Prophetic Number – 10/7“Then I said, “Behold, I have come- In the volume of the book it is written of Me – To do Your Will, O God.” – Hebrews 10:7
King Jesus understood all scripture written about him before He stepped into his human body. He knew the Father’s will and He chose to say, “Yes.” Do you have a “Yes” to the Lord’s calling? The Lord will not ask you for what you don’t have. He is looking for your ‘Yes” and He will provide what you need to complete the call.
Declaration: Today I will say “Yes” to King Jesus because He has made me more than enough in Jesus’ name.
Baptism as a Prophetic ActI’m gonna offer something a little bit different about baptisms but I promise you, it’s biblical. King Jesus himself said, “There’s a baptism I am yet to be baptized with, and how straight I am until it is accomplished.” That’s fancy King James for, “My baptism ain’t done yet and I’m not stopping until it’s finished.”
What was initiated at the water baptism of King Jesus was completed at the cross of Calvary. That’s a whole different kind of baptism. Romans chapter 6 talks about baptism unto death. Like, whoa. I don’t think I want to sign up for that. Well, I want to introduce another layer of revelation.
This type of baptism is what is called the power of a prophetic act. Throughout the word, God Almighty commands His people to do certain things and when they do, God’s spirit responds. “And it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and he was baptized by John in the Jordan.” Is Jesus being baptized for the remission of sins? No, because he hasn’t sinned. So, what’s His baptism all about? His baptism is a prophetic act, and heaven is about to respond.
“When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” – Matthew 3:16–17
When Jesus was baptized, he made a prophetic declaration that He was moving from the background to the foreground. He was stepping into the public light. For many, this is also the reason to get baptized–as an outward expression of an internal transformation. It is a public declaration saying, “I’m taking Jesus off the back burner and moving Him to the front burner of my life.” Now, you can expect heaven to respond when you do that.
If you haven’t been baptized yet, you need to. There’s baptism unto salvation, but there is also the baptism of, “I’m going to leave it in the water,” and friends, I want to tell you, I don’t know that we can ever do that too many times. You go into the water and Pharaoh chases you into the water. You come out of the water, and the devil that’s always owned you stays there.
Seek King Jesus and ask Him if you need to lay some things down in the water. You don’t want anything weighing you down as you step into your Promise Land.

THE “GOD” OF TECHNOLOGY
TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 10/6
“Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.” – 1 Samuel 10:6
The Lord sent His Holy Spirit to indwell you and to declare your incredible identity, purpose, and destiny. He turned you into “another man” who will bring heaven to earth, comfort and encourage those in need, and prophesy His Kingdom come. You are a bad motor scooter!
Declaration: I’m all the Lord has made me to be. I will prophesy and testify of Jesus, and I will not hold back.
The “god” of TechnologyAren’t you glad we have all this technology and we didn’t have to come up with any of it? We get to just be partakers of it. My goodness, what we now can do with all kinds of technology is something else.
Y’all, I have so many apps on my phone – I have star apps to help me locate all the constellations and tell me how far away the stars are from each other. I have several amazing weather apps. And, I bet you didn’t know that just about every Sunday when I am preaching at the pulpit, I am also smoking a brisket using my phone. It’s hooked up to my smoker so at any time, I can read the exact temperature of my brisket.
Technology allows us to do amazing things. I can talk to friends and track things all over the world. When a plane flies over, I know exactly what that plane is because I even have plane trackers on my phone.
I love my phone, but this little blessing of technology is also a place where other gods exist that I shall not serve. It is up to each one of us to daily decide if we will serve other gods.
You may think – what’s a little bit of pornography? It never bothered anybody or hurt anything. It’s point, click, nobody will ever know. Look, you better grow up. When you watch porn, you’re watching a crime scene. It’s true. You have a choice to make each time you pick up that little device. The choices you make with technology will either bless the LORD or repulse Him. No click is innocent. No click goes unnoticed by King Jesus.
Every click is a door–a gateway opened–giving something full access to your device, your eye gates, ears, mouth and potentially your entire life. Friends, I am not just talking about the lust-filled clicks of pornography, which are a known gateway to hell. The Bible teaches us that no thought or spoken word goes unchecked by the LORD.
“The eye is the lamp of the body; so if your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive], your whole body will be full of light[benefiting from God’s precepts]. But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God’s precepts]. So if the [very] light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!” – Matthew 6: 22-23
What you fix your eyes on becomes your focus. Today is a good day to observe your technology usage. Are your clicks filling your eye and ear gates with God’s glory or the enemy’s darkness?

PROMISE LAND
“…Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ…”– 2 Corinthians 10:5
Are you aware of mental patterns in your daily life that “exalt themselves against the knowledge of God?” It’s your responsibility to recognize those thoughts and break the patterns in your mind before they lead to feelings and actions. Let Jesus speak truth into you for peace that surpasses all understanding.
Declaration: I’m made to walk in peace. I cast down every argument and imagination that tries to lead me away from the knowledge of Christ.
Promise LandDeuteronomy 6 explains we have the blessings and the perils of living in a promised place. Everyone wants an upgrade in life, right? We all want to go to the next level. Everybody wants to see their dreams come true and the promises of God fulfilled within our life. Amen.
But friends, know this: when you get into the place God promised you, it’s not a safe place. The idea, that you can just kick back once you get to your promised place as if you’ve finally arrived so now you can relax, is not true. That idea does not come from the Lord. If the enemy can sneak into the Garden of Eden, don’t think for one minute he will not be lurking in your promised land.
Once you get into the promised places, you got a fight on your hands. There’s a very strange thing God promised the people of Israel when they went through the wilderness for 40 years.
God Almighty said, “You know, the day’s gonna come you’re finally going to cross that river, and when you do, I will put you in cities you did not build, in houses filled with stuff you didn’t have to buy. I am going to give you wells you did not labor to dig and give you vineyards and olive groves that produce fruit. And what’s real is, when you move in, you’re going to step into the timeline of somebody else who would not walk with me. I’m gonna cause all their hard work to benefit you.”
It’s an amazing thing! There comes a place in every single one of our lives where we’re like, “Dude, this thing finally happened. The thing I’ve been hoping for, praying for, and I’m finally blessed.” And God Almighty says this: “Be careful because even though it’s your promised place, you’re not in a safe place. The enemy seeks to steal your destiny by destroying your promised place.” Do you know what that means?
It means you’re going to fight!
So, how do you fight? You stand on the Word of God–your sword. You remember the Lord your God in all things and you fear, worship, and serve Him in all circumstances. You take an oath to use only His name. No other gods will enter your promised place!
“The Lord your God will soon bring you into the land he swore to give you when he made a vow to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It is a land with large, prosperous cities that you did not build. The houses will be richly stocked with goods you did not produce. You will draw water from cisterns you did not dig, and you will eat from vineyards and olive trees you did not plant. When you have eaten your fill in this land, be careful not to forget the Lord, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt. You must fear the Lord your God and serve him. When you take an oath, you must use only his name.” – Deuteronomy 6: 10-13

KINGDOM HOUSEHOLD
TODAY’S PROPHETIC NUMBER – 10/4
“He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.” – Proverbs 10:4
Jehovah Jireh is our Provider! So, get off the couch and partner with Him to bring in the wealth He has for you. The Lord pours out His blessings on the work of your hands and brings abundance to those willing to do the work. Today is the day to be blessed!
Declaration: My hands are diligent and bring wealth as I submit my work to the Lord.
Kingdom Household
“For if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?” – 1 Timothy 3:5
Say, what? I thought we were talking about church stuff here, not my house. According to King Jesus, we need to talk about both.
Friends, I believe this house, this ministry, and this tribe–all of it belongs to King Jesus. I’m gonna have to hand this back to him one of these days. I believe all of us have a “house” to hand back to Him one of these days.
Are you going to be proud to hand yours over to Him?
You need to choose for your house to be a fearless demonstration of freedom, redemption, and the goodness of God. You know it’s going to cost you, but you’re gonna keep trying. You’re going to keep going after it. You’re just gonna go and you will not be afraid.
Your house should look more like the Kingdom of God than hell. So, if your home and your family is not consistent in its love for God, standing on the scriptures, being the fearless demonstration of freedom, it’s time to clean the house.

CLEAN HEART & MIND
10/3 “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.”– 2 Corinthians 10:3
When we are wronged and see injustice, something in us rises and demands it be made right. How we go about it is crucial. Instead of acting like fools without love and self-control, King Jesus invites us onto His Holy Spirit battlefield. Ride King Jesus!
Declaration: The battle belongs to you Lord. I lay down my right to be right. Your justice is true justice.
Clean Heart & Mind“You shall have no other gods before Me.” – Deuteronomy 5: 7
This principle is all through the Bible, friends. God Almighty says when you come into the promise–when you finally get to that place–you will find it has other gods who want to entice you to follow them.
“Pastor Troy, did you say “other gods”? Yes. The One and Only True Living God is letting us know there are other “gods,” as in high level angelic beings He created; Satan and his demonic horde. This means there will be things you’ll be tempted to serve in that blessed place. Our physical body is where those little gods try to move in first. This means we have to constantly work on the atmosphere of our mind and heart.
Here’s what’s real: I am constantly dealing with my heart over who I’m mad at, who I’m enraged at, and what I’m sick and tired of. What am I willing to throw a fit over? What should I be involved in or not be involved in? Is that you too?
If you don’t know how to clean the atmosphere in your heart and mind, start running around with King Jesus because Jesus knew how to whip things into place. John 2 gives us a story–the one where Jesus took a whip to some folks. He kicked over tables; straight up lost his mind. I know that doesn’t sound like “hippy-lovin’ Jesus” because it ain’t hippy Jesus. It’s King Jesus.
The Word says, “And when he had made a whip of cords.” Stop. Did you know Jesus didn’t just spontaneously go, “Well, this stinks,” and lose his mind? The brother made a whip. He looked over and said, “No, no. You’re a special kind of stupid that needs a special kind of whip, so I’ll be with y’all in just a minute.”
And the disciples are like, “What are you doing? What’s happening?” And King Jesus is saying, “Oh, I’m fashioning a whip because I’m about to drive this trash out of my house. That’s what I’m about to do.” It says,
And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” – John 2: 14-17
You can’t let the priorities of other gods into your physical realm–keep your mind and your heart clean. You need a greater influence using the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit to kick some tables over and whip your thought life into shape.

PROMISE LAND
10/2 “Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” – Luke 10:2
Are you sowing into the kingdom field God placed you in? Wherever you find yourself today, bring in the harvest! Know this: someone has been praying for somebody just like you to come change the life of that one person they can’t get to, but you can.
Declaration: I will be an answer to someone’s prayer and bring in a harvest today.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 – But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “ Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
Times and seasons
Day and night
Daniel 2:20-22
– “
Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His.
21 And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings;
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those who have understanding.
22 He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.”

People who respect the authority and the Kingship of God respect His timing of things.
Hebrews 1:1-2 – God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
The voice of God and the ways of God are connected with the timing of God.
THERE IS A VERY SPECIFIC WORD FROM GOD FOR SPECIFIC PEOPLE AT SPECIFIC TIMES.
We must learn to connect with God in the timing of things.
If we are out of synch in the timing of God, we are cursed!
Deuteronomy 28 – In the morning you will say I wish it was evening and in the evening you will say I wish it were morning.
Ecclesiastes 10:16-17 – Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, and your princes feast in the morning! 17 Blessed are you, O land, when your king is the son of nobles, and your princes feast at the proper time—For strength and not for drunkenness!
Jesus described the destruction of Jerusalem by exclaiming
“YOU HAVE MISSED YOUR DAY OF VISITATION!”
Jesus rebuked those who did not understand the signs of the times in His day:
“O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but can ye not discern the signs of the times (Matthew 16:3).”
When people are in synch with God’s heart, they get into synch with God’s timing.
God said, “Surely the sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing it to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7)
God not only knows the end from the beginning, He tells us that He makes it known!
Isaiah 46:10 – I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.
God said, I have even from the beginning declared it to you; before it came to pass, I showed it to you (Isaiah 48:5).
Jesus said the Holy Spirit “will teach you all things” (John 14:26).
Friends confide in one another. Abraham was called God’s “friend” (Isaiah 41:8; James 2:23).
And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do (Genesis 18:17)?
Now, because of Jesus’ atonement, we are called friends of God:
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends (Jesus, John 15:15).
The Bible also says that Jesus was crucified so that the blessing of Abraham, part of which was friendship with God, would come upon the Gentiles — us (Galatians 3:14).
He gave Noah advance notice of when the flood would be
(Genesis 6,7).
He told Abraham how long the Israelites would be in Egypt (Genesis 15:13).
He revealed to many the very day of Elijah’s rapture (2 Kings 2).
He told Jeremiah how long the Babylonian exile would be (Jeremiah 29:10).
He told Daniel exactly when Messiah would come the first time (Daniel 9:25-26).
WE MUST LEARN HOW TO PROPHETICALLY COOPERATE WITH THE TIMING OF GOD
1 Chronicles 12:32 – And of the children of Issachar, who were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were under their command
WE MUST LEARN TO GAIN PROPHETIC WISDOM IN THE TIMING OF GOD.
“OH, GOD. TEACH ME TO NUMBER MY DAYS THAT I MIGHT APPLY MY HEART UNTO WISDOM.”
WE NEED SUPERNATURAL INTELLIGENCE WHEN IT COMES TO TIMING
Hebrew: Word to the Jews – Lunar calendar – word to the bride; the church
Gregorian: Word to the nations – Sun calendar – word to the people and kings of the earth
That’s why we have to be willing to know the Hebrew calendar with the Gregorian calendar.

83rd verse in Old Testament : Genesis 4:3 – And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord.
83rd verse in New Testament : Matthew 4:19 – Then He said to them, “ Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

AN ABUNDANT LIFE
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.” – Luke 10:1
Thieves and robbers look to steal things of great value. King Jesus has given His children the gift of identity. He identifies us as His. That’s valuable! Today is a good day to shut down the voices trying to define you and open the door to the voice of Jesus. He knows exactly who you are!
To be in the world and not of the world has been a challenge and a terrible conflict for the people of God throughout the centuries, and so it is today.
We have to be able to look at our lives and say, “Okay, here’s what’s real within my own life. When I look at it, this works and that works, but this thing here is really destructive.” We’ve got to be real about the destructive forces we are serving because we don’t know how not to serve them.
Of course, we don’t want to ever admit these things because if we did, we admit we don’t have our act together the way we like to portray. But friends, there needs to be a big wake-up call in the body of King Jesus that understands your house (body, soul, and spirit) can get so sick that it kills your whole household.
Leviticus 14: 33-57 is the law of leprosy and says that if your house develops leprosy, go to the stone that is leprous. If it’s oozing some kind of horrible infection from the bricks of your home, take out those bricks. See, you have things you think are not a big deal within your life, but if you don’t deal with them, they will kill your friendships and destroy your future.
God calls us to live life more abundantly. So, admit when there’s a disease in your house. It may be with your kids, your finances, your marriage, or maybe, you start to struggle with your faith–all are diseases that cause destruction if left untreated. It’s time to take the steps with King Jesus to clean it out–one stone at a time.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10

A KNIGHT TO REMEMBER
I declare in Jesus’s name it’s time to step into the harvest and build God’s Kingdom. My times are in God’s hands, so until He comes, I will do what I can for the Kingdom.
A KNIGHT TO REMEMBERThere’s something neat that happens in my wife’s family. People tend to know when their days on this earth are coming to a close and they try to make the most of them.
Leanna’s grandfather was well into his nineties when he decided to build a new building for his church. “It will take me about two years,” he said. Then he prophetically added, “The first service we are going to have in it will be my funeral.”
Just like he promised, he completed the building two years later. On the day he finished, he went home, called his son, then put on a suit. He laid down on his bed and died, just as he had said. Legendary! And yes, the first service in that new church building was his funeral!
His son, Ray Knight, my father-in-law, did the same thing. He had been going downhill for a while, and we were afraid he would not last until Christmas. However, Ray let us know that he was planning on leaving earth between Christmas and New Year. Boom! He kept that promise.
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. – Psalms 90:12
There is real wisdom in this verse – Ray’s favorite. Like Babe Ruth famously calling his shot, Ray Knight hit it out of the ballpark by knowing the right time.
Can this be said of you? Do you know the time you’re in and have you learned to number your days? A good place to start is with the wisdom of Solomon in Ecclesiastes chapter 3…
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: – Ecclesiastes 3:1
Solomon then writes of 28 different times in life, or 14 pairs of times such as “a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” Such beautiful poetry! However, these beautiful words, like time itself, have a purpose.
You see, if we look at this timeline, which is circular, we can see where we’re at. If we understand where we’re at in this timeline, we can also prepare for what comes next. We can number our days to get the maximum out of them.
The maximum what, you might ask? The maximum impact for the Kingdom!
Are you living life like your days are numbered, because they are! Go after Kingdom promises, advancement and, by all means, go after the souls of the unsaved!
The time is short. Call your shot. Prophesy over yourself that the number of souls you’ll take with you will outnumber your days!
